Hepatocyte nuclear factor 1 beta induces transformation and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition

open access: closedFEBS Letters, 2016
Gene amplification can be a cause of cancer, and driver oncogenes have been often identified in amplified regions. However, comprehensive analysis of other genes coamplified with an oncogene is rarely performed. We focused on the 17q12–21 amplicon, which contains ERBB2.

Immunohistochemical expression of napsin A and hepatocyte nuclear factor-1-beta in Arias-Stella reaction

open access: gold, 2017
Background: Arias-Stella reaction is a spectrum of benign cellular changes which is associated with exogenous progestogens or pregnancy. Histologically, this reaction is characterized by striking nuclear atypia with or without clear cytoplasm and can potentially mimic clear cell carcinoma.

MODY: Strategies for a unique form of diabetes [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Education and Health Promotion
Maturity-onset diabetes of the young (MODY) is a monogenic, autosomal dominant form of diabetes that typically presents before the age of 25. It is caused by mutations in single genes involved in insulin production and glucose regulation, leading to ...

Hepatocyte nuclear factor-1 alpha (HNF-1 alpha) and HNF-1 beta regulate transcription via two elements in an intestine-specific promoter.

open access: hybridJournal of Biological Chemistry, 1994
Hepatocyte nuclear factor-1 alpha (HNF-1 alpha) and HNF-1 beta are transcription factors that contain a divergent homeodomain, bind to DNA as homo- or heterodimers, and act to regulate transcription of many genes that are expressed primarily in liver.

Nonsense and Missense Mutations in the Human Hepatocyte Nuclear Factor-1β Gene (TCF2) and Their Relation to Type 2 Diabetes in Japanese [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, 2002
Mutations in transcription factors expressed in the pancreatic beta-cell are a major cause of maturity-onset diabetes of the young (MODY). They have also been found in patients diagnosed with type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, which may highlight the difficulty in diagnosing these forms of diabetes or perhaps indicate a direct role in the development

Immunohistochemical expression of hepatocyte nuclear factor 1.BETA. in endometrial clear cell adenocarcinoma-Comparison of expression in endometrioid adenocarcinoma-

open access: diamondThe Journal of the Japanese Society of Clinical Cytology, 2008

Pseudopregnancy induces the expression of hepatocyte nuclear factor-1β and its target gene aminopeptidase N in rabbit endometrium via the epithelial promoter [PDF]

open access: yesBiochemical Journal, 1995
The rabbit endometrium is an excellent model system allowing experimental manipulation of aminopeptidase N (APN) mRNA expression in vivo. By RNase mapping and sequencing of cloned PCR-amplified primer-extended RNA, it was demonstrated that endometrial APN expression is directed by the epithelial APN promoter and is increased in human-choriogonadotropin-

Sucrase-Isomaltase Gene Expression Is Inhibited by Mutant Hepatocyte Nuclear Factor (HNF)-1.ALPHA. and Mutant HNF-1.BETA. in Caco-2 Cells

open access: diamondJournal of Nutritional Science and Vitaminology, 2006
Hepatocyte nuclear factor (HNF)-1alpha and HNF-1beta are concerned in sucrase-isomaltase (SI) gene expression, and directly bind two sites (SIF2, SIF3) of the promoter of the SI gene. However, it is not completely clear that HNF-1alpha and HNF-1beta play a role in regulation of SI gene expression.
