Synthesis and evaluation of smart drugs with integrated functions for identifying and treating oxidative microenvironments associated with cellular ferroptosis

open access: yesSmart Molecules, EarlyView.
In our work, a novel series of a‐compounds was successfully designed and synthesized based on the structure of fer‐1. These novel compounds not only enhanced the stability of fer‐1 but also demonstrated intelligent responsiveness to the intracellular ferroptosis microenvironment.

The Importance of Particle Shape: Effect of Nonspherical Particles and Their Stabilized Pickering Emulsions on Immunization Efficacy

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
Poly (lactic‐co‐glycolic acid) is used to prepare nonspherical particles—macrofibers, macrothreads, and nanothreads (PNTs)—via one‐step solvent phase separation. PNT‐stabilized Pickering emulsions exhibit superior humoral and cellular immune enhancement over spherical particles and emulsions, highlighting the potential of nonspherical particles and ...

Thermochemical Recycling and Degradation Strategies of Halogenated Polymers (F−, Cl−, Br−): A Holistic Review Coupled with Mechanistic Insights

open access: yesThe Chemical Record, EarlyView.
This review aims to comprehensively address recent degradation techniques (physical, chemical and biological) of halogenated waste polymers with a prime focus on thermal degradation techniques. Exploiting various metal oxides during co‐pyrolysis is deemed a viable solution for recycling halogenated polymeric waste.

Human exposure limits to hypergolic fuels [PDF]

open access: yes
Over the past four decades, many studies have been conducted on the toxicities of the rocket propellants hydrazine (HZ) and monomethylhydrazine (MH). Numerous technical challenges have made it difficult to unambiguously interpret the results of these ...
