Effect of 2-hexanol and methanol on the one-pot process of dehydration and alkoxycarbonylation for the synthesis of esters

open access: yesТонкие химические технологии
Objectives. To study the possibility of one-pot synthesis (combination of two processes in one reactor) for the following pairs of processes: (1) dehydration of 2-hexanol and isomerizing alkoxycarbonylation of the resulting 2-hexene, in order to obtain 2-

Effects of Cooking Methods on Fatty Acid Composition and Volatile Substances in Oven-Roasted Lamb Chops [PDF]

open access: yesShipin Kexue
Roasted lamb chops were prepared by superheated steam roasting (SSR) and direct roasting (DR). To explore the formation mechanism of flavor substances, descriptive sensory analysis (DSA), an electronic nose (E-nose) system, head-space solid phase ...

Gut microbiota shifts and short‐chain fatty acids alterations in pediatric epilepsy patients on a Mediterranean ketogenic diet

open access: yesEpileptic Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective The olive oil–based Mediterranean ketogenic diet (MedKD) may support patients with drug‐resistant epilepsy (DRE) or neurometabolic disorders by integrating ketogenic therapy with the cardiometabolic and neuroprotective advantages of the Mediterranean diet.

Host plant‐specific volatiles of Beauveria bassiana‐colonized plants initiate trophic plant–aphid–predator cascades

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Endophytic colonization of melon plants by B. bassiana modifies the crop volatile profiles in a genotype‐dependent manner. A predator choice is biased toward endophytically colonized plants infested with aphids revealing a guardian within effect of the fungus of great potential in integrated pest management.

Flowzonolysis: Continuous Oxidative Ozonolysis of Algae‐Derived Palmitoleic Acid for the Synthesis of Azelaic Acid

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, Volume 6, Issue 7, July 2026.
Flowzonolysis enables the continuous oxidative cleavage of algae‐derived palmitoleic acid to azelaic acid in a single integrated process. By combining alkene cleavage and oxidation without isolating reactive intermediates, this method minimizes auxiliary reagents, improves atom economy, and supports safer, more sustainable diacid production from ...
