A Novel Boundary-Type Meshless Method for Modeling Geofluid Flow in Heterogeneous Geological Media

open access: yesGeofluids, 2018
A novel boundary-type meshless method for modeling geofluid flow in heterogeneous geological media was developed. The numerical solutions of geofluid flow are approximated by a set of particular solutions of the subsurface flow equation which are ...

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Analysis of the model of integration of multicultural media in the network’s space of public opinion

open access: yesTransinformação, 2020
When the traditional Meta database model is used to integrate multicultural media in the network’s space of public opinion, the performance of cooperative processing of distributed heterogeneous network data is poor, the logic of integration of ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Modeling Groundwater Flow in Heterogeneous Porous Media with YAGMod

open access: yesComputation, 2015
Modeling flow and transport in porous media requires the management of complexities related both to physical processes and to subsurface heterogeneity. A thorough approach needs a great number of spatially-distributed phenomenological parameters, which ...

Waves induced by heterogeneity in oscillatory media

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2020
Various behaviours of nonlinear wave propagation and competition have been discussed and investigated extensively and meticulously, especially when the media are homogeneous. However, corresponding studies in heterogeneous media are much scarcer. In this

Computational modelling and experimental characterisation of heterogeneous materials

open access: yes, 2009
Heterogeneous materials can exhibit behaviour under load that cannot be described by classical continuum elasticity. Beams in bending can show a relative stiffening as the beam depth tends to zero, a size effect.

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting
