Multiple GTP-binding proteins from cholinergic synaptic vesicles

open access: yes, 1990
Cholinergic synaptic vesicles purified from the electric organ of the marine ray, Discopyge ommata, contain 2 different size classes of GTP- binding proteins: one or more with an apparent molecular weight (MW) between 37 and 41 kDa, and 3 major and at ...

Enhanced expression of heterotrimeric GTP-binding protein subunits in Zajdela ascitic hepatoma.

open access: yesIndian journal of biochemistry & biophysics, 2012
G protein beta subunit (Gbeta2) is over-expressed in Zajdela ascitic hepatoma (ZAH), a rat ascitic tumour, at mRNA as well as protein levels. Nuclear run-off transcription analysis suggests that the expression of Gbeta2 in ZAH is regulated mainly at transcriptional as well as post-transcriptional levels. Galphai3 is also over-expressed in ZAH.

Characterization of GTP-binding proteins in Golgi-associated membrane vesicles from adipocytes

open access: yes, 1992
We have previously reported that guanine nucleotides inhibit glucose transport activity reconstituted from adipocyte membrane fractions. In order to further investigate the hypothetical involvement of guanine-nucleotide-binding proteins (GTP-binding ...
