Novel Human Adenovirus Strain, Bangladesh
We report a novel human adenovirus D (HAdV-65) isolated from feces of 4 children in Bangladesh who had acute gastroenteritis. Corresponding genes of HAdV-65 were related to a hexon gene of HAdV-10, penton base genes of HAdV-37 and HAdV-58, and a fiber ...

Pathogenicity and epidemiological survey of fowl adenovirus in Shandong Province from 2021 to 2022
In recent years, the poultry industry had been markedly affected by adenoviral diseases such as hydropericardium syndrome and inclusion body hepatitis caused by fowl adenovirus (FAdV), which have become increasingly prevalent in China. Shandong Province,

Computational analysis of the hexon gene.
(A) SimPlot analysis of the HAdV-D59 hexon coding sequence. L1 and L2 correspond to loops 1 and 2 of the hexon gene, which comprise the determinant of virus serum neutralization. (B) Phylogenetic analysis of the hexon L1 sequences in species HAdV-D.

Human adenoviruses (HAdVs) are common pathogens associated with a variety of clinical manifestations. Although most infections are self-limiting, HAdVs can cause severe or lethal infections in immunocompromised as well as in healthy individuals. Several HAdVs have recently been characterized as emerging pathogens.

The sequence of the 3′ non-coding region of the hexon mRNA discloses a novel adenovirus gene
We report the sequence of a 1164 nucleotide long DNA segment, located between map positions 59.5 and 62.8 on the adenovirus type 2 genome. The sequence comprises the 701 nucleotides long 3' non-coding region of the hexon mRNA as well as several important processing signals.

Classification of Fowl Adenovirus Serotypes by Use of High-Resolution Melting-Curve Analysis of the Hexon Gene Region [PDF]
ABSTRACT Identification of fowl adenovirus (FAdV) serotypes is of importance in epidemiological studies of disease outbreaks and the adoption of vaccination strategies. In this study, real-time PCR and subsequent high-resolution melting (HRM)-curve analysis of three regions of the hexon gene were developed and assessed for their potential in ...

Bayesian skyline plot for complete hexon and fiber gene of the HAdV-3 and HAdV-7.
The BSP were inferred from HAdV-3 hexon gene (A), HAdV-3 fiber gene (B), HAdV-7 hexon gene (C) and HAdV-7 fiber gene (D). The bold line represents the median estimate of the effective population size of infections through time, with the 95% HPD values ...
