Features of Human Herpesvirus-6A and -6B Entry
Human herpesvirus-6 (HHV-6) is a T lymphotropic herpesvirus belonging to the Betaherpesvirinae subfamily. HHV-6 was long classified into variants A and B (HHV-6A and HHV-6B); however, recently, HHV-6A and HHV-6B were reclassified as different species ...

INTRODUCTION: Exanthem subitum is a classical rash disease of early childhood caused by human herpesvirus 6B (HHV-6B). However, the rash is frequently misdiagnosed as that of either measles or rubella.

Human Herpesvirus 6A Is a Risk Factor for Multiple Sclerosis
The role for human herpesvirus (HHV)-6A or HHV-6B in multiple sclerosis (MS) pathogenesis has been controversial. Possibly because the damage of the virus infection may occur before onset of clinical symptoms and because it has been difficult to detect ...

Primary infection of human herpesvirus 6B (HHV-6B) occurs in infants after the decline of maternal immunity and causes exanthema subitum accompanied by a high fever, and it occasionally develops into encephalitis resulting in neurological sequelae. There

Clinico‐Epidemiological and Molecular Evidences for Reactivation of Herpesviruses in Dapsone‐Induced Hypersensitivity Reactions in Nepalese Leprosy Patients: An Observational Study [PDF]
This study found clinical and molecular evidences for the presence of herpesvirus (HHV‐5 and HHV‐6) reactivation during dapsone‐induced hypersensitivity in Nepalese leprosy patients. Reflare of hypersensitivity symptoms occurred on average 20 days after culprit drug cessation.

A one‐step bulk integration of the surfactant Tween 20 into PDMS enables intrinsic and water‐triggered hydrophilicity. Combined molecular simulations and experiments reveal a dual mechanism where bound and mobile Tween 20 molecules cooperatively induce self‐activating, stretch‐tolerant, and long‐term wettability, supporting self‐driven liquid transport,

The mechanism, diagnosis and treatment of HHV-6B encephalitis
Human herpesvirus 6B (HHV-6B) is causative agent for exanthem subitum, which is common febrile illness in infant. This disease is generally benign and self-limited disease, however rarely causes several central nervous system complications. As various types of HHV-6B encephalitis has been demonstrated, pathophysiology of the disease would be complicate.

Herpesvirus genome integration in whole‐genome sequences of dementia and control cohorts
Abstract INTRODUCTION The infectious hypothesis suggests that microbes like herpesviruses may play a role in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and other related dementias through methods that may include viral genome integration. The occurrence of herpesvirus genome integration in dementia patients has not been thoroughly characterized ...

The hydrogen evolution reaction activity of Ni‐doped MoS2 is enhanced by optimizing sputtering parameters in co‐sputtering. Sputtering power controls morphology and Ni doping which promotes 1T yield and activates basal planes. Sputtering time changes 1T yield regardless of Ni ratio.
