Consensus Control for Reactive Power Sharing Using an Adaptive Virtual Impedance Approach

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
Reactive power sharing among distributed generators (DGs) in islanded microgrids (MGs) presents control challenges, particularly in the mismatched feeder line condition.

Adaptive Sliding Mode Control for Yaw Stability of Four-Wheel Independent-Drive EV Based on the Phase Plane

open access: yesWorld Electric Vehicle Journal, 2023
Aiming at the yaw stability problem of a four-wheel independent-drive electric vehicle (EV) during steering, this paper proposes an adaptive sliding mode control strategy (ASMC) for yaw stability based on the phase plane.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

A Generalized and Mode-Adaptive Approach to the Power Flow Analysis of the Isolated Hybrid AC/DC Microgrids

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
Hybrid AC/DC microgrids (HMG) are emerging as an attracting method for integrating AC/DC distributed energy resources (DERs). In the isolated hybrid AC/DC microgrid (IHMG), the key problem is how to balance power variation and regulate voltage and ...

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Black Start Strategy for PV-ESS Multi-Microgrids with Three-Phase/Single-Phase Architecture

open access: yesEnergies, 2016
With the rapid development of microgrids (MGs) in recent years, it is anticipated that combinations of multiple microgrids—multi-microgrids (MMGs)—will gradually become a new form of power grid.

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Cyber-Resilient Controllers for Smart Distribution Grid Control Layers

open access: yesEnergies
This paper presents a novel cyber-resilient control strategy for enhancing the operational security of future smart distribution systems (SDSs) against compromised control setpoints originating from higher-level controllers.

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...
