Formation of 7-carboxyheptyl radical induced by singlet oxygen in the reaction mixture of oleic acid, riboflavin and ferrous ion under the UVA irradiation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Identification of the radicals was performed for the standard reaction mixtures, which contained 4.3 mM oleic acid, 25 µM riboflavin, 1 mM FeSO4(NH4)2SO4, 10 mM cholic acid, 40 mM phosphate buffer (pH 7.4) and 0.1 M α-(4-pyridyl-1-oxide)-N-tert ...

Ultra-high Performance Liquid Chromatography in Steroid Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The latest version of liquid chromatography is ultra-high performance (or pressure) chromatography (UHPLC). In the technique, short and narrow-bore columns with particle sizes below 3 µm are used.

Super-resolution imaging reveals resistance to mass transfer in functionalized stationary phases [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Chemical separations are costly in terms of energy, time, and money. Separation methods are optimized with inefficient trial-and-error approaches that lack insight into the molecular dynamics that lead to the success or failure of a separation and, hence, ways to improve the process.

Comparitive study of UV-Visible spectrophotometry and high performance liquid Chromatography methods for quantitative estimation of paracetamol in a tablet formulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The objective of present study was to analyse the comparision between high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) and UV-Spectrophotometry for quantitative determination of paracetamol in a marketed formulation.

Structural and mechanistic basis for the regulation of the chloroplast signal recognition particle by (p)ppGpp

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LHCPs are transported to the thylakoid membrane via the (cp)SRP pathway. This process involves a transit complex of (cp)SRP43, (cp)SRP54 and LHCP, which interacts with (cp)FtsY and Alb3 at the membrane. GTP hydrolysis by (cp)SRP54 and (cp)FtsY triggers complex dissociation.

New trends in liquid chromatography and their utilization in analysis of beer and brewery raw materials. Part 3. Comparison of HPLC and UHPLC determination of α- and β-acids.

open access: yesKvasný průmysl, 2012
The traditional method of High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) was compared with the currently increasingly used Ultra- High Performance Liquid Chromatography (UHPLC) on a representative group of 11 hop samples.

Making tau amyloid models in vitro: a crucial and underestimated challenge

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This review highlights the challenges of producing in vitro amyloid assemblies of the tau protein. We review how accurately the existing protocols mimic tau deposits found in the brain of patients affected with tauopathies. We discuss the important properties that should be considered when forming amyloids and the benchmarks that should be used to ...

Refining the NaV1.7 pharmacophore of a class of venom‐derived peptide inhibitors via a combination of in silico screening and rational engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Venom peptides have shown promise in treating pain. Our study uses computer screening to identify a peptide that targets a sodium channel (NaV1.7) linked to chronic pain. We produced the peptide in the laboratory and refined its design, advancing the search for innovative pain therapies.
