High throughput powder diffraction: II Applications of clustering methods and multivariate data analysis [PDF]
In high throughput crystallography is possible to accumulate over 1000 powder diffraction patterns on a series of related compounds, often polymorphs. We present a method that can analyse such data, automatically sort the patterns into related clusters ...

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Novel technologies enable high throughput acquisition of viral phenotypes
Fuhrmann, Jeffry J.Viruses of bacteria (bacteriophages) are the most abundant biological entities on the planet. Phages shape their ecosystems by regulating host abundance and driving nutrient cycling.

Meta-analysis of kindling-induced gene expression changes in the rat hippocampus
Numerous studies have been performed to examine gene expression patterns in the rodent hippocampus in the kindling model of epilepsy. However, recent reviews of this literature have revealed limited agreement among studies.

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Ultra-high throughput string matching for deep packet inspection [PDF]
Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) involves searching a packet's header and payload against thousands of rules to detect possible attacks. The increase in Internet usage and growing number of attacks which must be searched for has meant hardware acceleration ...
