Pre‐Encoded IFN‐I Sensitivity Exacerbates Memory T Cell Senescence in Solid Tumors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Type I interferon (IFN‐I) signaling promotes p21‐dependent cell cycle arrest in senescent tumor‐specific memory T cells, resulting in poor proliferative responses and solid tumor regression during cancer vaccination. Conversely, IFNα/β receptor blockade reinvigorates T cell proliferation to regress solid tumors and is more effective with increasing ...

Formation of Condition‐Dependent Alpha‐Synuclein Fibril Strain in Artificial Cerebrospinal Fluid

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
α‐synuclein aggregation in artificial cerebrospinal fluid (aCSF) leads to a distinct conformation with an electron density pocket motif found in aggregates from PD and MSA patients. Such fibrils has low stability outside the reaction conditions, hinting about the influence of cerebrospinal fluid components not only on the formation, but also on the ...

Hyperandrogenemia Induces Trophoblast Ferroptosis and Early Pregnancy Loss in Patients With PCOS via CMA‐Dependent FTH1 Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In PCOS patients with hyperandrogenemia, decreased ferritin heavy chain 1 (FTH1) causes Fe2⁺ overload and ferroptosis in trophoblasts. Androgens induce FTH1 protein degradation via AR‐LAMP2A‐mediated chaperone‐mediated autophagy pathway, leading to placental development disruption and early pregnancy loss. Metformin mitigates androgen‐induced placental

Correlation Monocyte Count, High Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol Levels and Monocyte High Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol Ratio with hsCRP Levels in Hypertension Patient [PDF]

open access: yesModern Medicine
Background: Hypertension is a condition which blood pressure in blood vessels increases chronically. Previous studies have shown that hypertension is associated with an inflammatory process involving innate and adaptive immune responses. Hypertension led

TREM2 Drives Neutrophil Extracellular Traps‐Induced Dendritic Cell Maturation and Contributes to Lupus Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TREM2 recognizes NETs‐derived MPO to promote DC maturation and antigen presentation, thereby exacerbating the autoimmune response in SLE. Mechanistically, TREM2 activation triggers the DAP12/SYK/ERK cascade and enhances NETs internalization by DCs, which in turn activates the cGAS/STING signaling pathway.

Redox‐Responsive Tellurium‐Bridged Covalent Organic Frameworks/PEG Composites for Targeted Therapy of Diabetic Cardiomyopathy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study unlocks the immense potential of COF@polymer nanocomposites as a multifunctional therapeutic platform for targeted drug delivery in diabetic cardiomyopathy. Abstract Diabetic cardiomyopathy, a major complication of diabetes, is strongly associated with elevated levels of glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) and reactive oxygen species (ROS). However,

The relationship between non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio (NHHR) and hyperuricaemia

open access: yesLipids in Health and Disease
Purpose The ratio of non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDL-c) to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c) (NHHR) is a novel comprehensive lipid index.

High-Density Lipoproteins in Stroke [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Besides their well-documented function of reverse transport of cholesterol, high-density lipoproteins (HDLs) display pleiotropic effects due to their antioxidant, antithrombotic, anti-inflammatory and antiapoptotic properties that may play a major protective role in acute stroke, in particular by limiting the deleterious effects of ischaemia on the ...
