ABSTRACT Environmental contaminants like bisphenol A (BPA) and nonylphenol (NP) are recognized neurotoxicants; however, the molecular mechanisms underlying their impact on sensory ganglia, specifically the trigeminal ganglion (TG), remain critically underexplored.

Abstract BACKGROUND Cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) from the Brazilian Amazon plays an important role in national production. While most cocoa is cultivated in upland systems, floodplain ecosystems represent a traditional and distinct production environment that may influence bean composition and quality.

Abstract BACKGROUND Pomegranate peel is a rich source of phenolics, particularly punicalagin, but its valorization for fresh produce preservation requires stabilization. This study aimed to develop and evaluate freeze‐dried encapsulates of pomegranate peel extracts as ingredients in edible coatings for fresh‐cut celery. Pomegranate peels were extracted

Engineering Photonic Pigments From Titania–Block Copolymer Composites
Ligand‐functionalized TiO2 nanoparticles selectively partition into P2VP‐rich lamellae of onion‐like PS‐b‐P2VP microspheres, increasing refractive index contrast while preserving concentric order through controlled self‐assembly. The resulting dry photonic pigments display defined Bragg reflections and angle‐robust structural color.

Recent Advances in Cryogel Applications for Musculoskeleatal Regeneration
ABSTRACT Hydrogels have been widely used in tissue engineering due to their high‐water content and biocompatibility, yet their densely cross‐linked microstructure inherently limits cell infiltration, mass transport, and mechanical support. Cryogels, formed through partial freezing and crosslinking under subzero conditions, provide unique 3D macroporous

Ovalbumin as an Outstanding Pickering Nanostabilizer for High Internal Phase Emulsions
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2018There is still a debate about the effectiveness of native globular proteins to perform as Pickering-like stabilizers for oil-in-water high internal phase emulsions (HIPEs). In the work, we report one native globular protein (ovalbumin) with strong structural integrity and high refolding ability, exhibits an outstanding Pickering stabilization for HIPEs.
