Effects of management strategies on the survival probability of a small remnant population of mouse lemurs

open access: yesOikos, EarlyView.
Multiple management strategies have been put in place in Madagascar to slow down biodiversity loss, but evidence for their effectiveness remains scarce. Using a long‐term monitoring dataset and a custom‐built capture–mark–recapture model, we evaluated the effect of a protected area and translocations on the survival of mouse lemurs Microcebus murinus ...

Heterogeneity of Innate Immunity

open access: yesOrgan Medicine, EarlyView.
In the present review, we introduce the novel concept of categorizing innate immune responses according to the influence of the distinct cytokines that they release on adaptive immune cell differentiation. This framework underscores the interconnected and complex nature of immune responses, offering a fresh outlook for comprehensively understanding ...

CXCL14 increase dendritic cell antigen presentation and promote asthma immune response

open access: yesPediatric Discovery, EarlyView.
RNA‐seq showed that C‐X‐C motif chemokine ligand 14 (CXCL14) was upregulated in bone marrow dendritic cells after house dust mites (HDM) stimulation, and its function was related to signal molecule interaction and the immune system. The expression of CXCL14 was increased in the HDM‐induced allergic asthma model.

Glucocorticoid‐Induced TNFR‐Related Ligand as a Biomarker for Diagnosis and Severity of Asthma in Children

open access: yesPediatric Discovery, EarlyView.
Our study demonstrates elevated GITRL expression in HDM‐exposed dendritic cells (in vitro), murine asthma models, and pediatric asthma patients, and reveals a direct association between GITRL levels and disease severity in children. ABSTRACT Currently, there are no reliable pediatric biomarkers for assessing the severity of asthma. Therefore, the study
