CDK4/6 Inhibition Induces CD8+ T Cell Antitumor Immunity via MIF‐Induced Functional Orchestration of Tumor‐Associated Macrophages

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CDK4/6 inhibition promotes CD8+ T cell expansion through tumor‐macrophage crosstalk by activating HIF‐1α and enhancing MIF‐CD44/CD74 signaling. This reprograms TAMs to boost MHC‐I antigen presentation, and CDK4/6 inhibitor‐trained M1 TAM supernatant therapy synergizes with low‐dose PD‐1 blockade to restore antitumor immunity.

Carbohydrate moieties of major histocompatibility complex class I alloantigens are not required for their recognition by T lymphocytes. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
The ability to generate specific cytotoxic responses using purified major histocompatibility complex (MHC) antigen in liposomes has made it possible to directly assess the importance of class I carbohydrate moieties in T cell recognition of alloantigen ...

Combination Immunotherapy as a Promising Strategy to Overcome Immunotherapy Resistance: From Emergence to Next‐Generation Approaches

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review examines emerging combination immunotherapy strategies tailored to distinct tumor microenvironments and highlights next‐generation biomarkers that guide response prediction and treatment personalization. It integrates lessons from unsuccessful trials, addresses toxicity challenges, and outlines approaches for early biomarker discovery and ...

Mitochondrial reactive oxygen species regulate the induction of CD8+ T cells by plasmacytoid dendritic cells

open access: yesNature Communications, 2018
Cross-presentation allows exogenous antigens to be presented by the major histocompatibility I pathway. Here the authors show that the inducible cross-presentation by plasmacytoid dendritic cells is modulated by mitochondria-originated reactive oxygen ...

Tolerogenic effect of noninherited maternal antigens in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2012
Major histocompatibility complex antigens that provoke severe transplant reactions are referred to as the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) in human and as the H-2 in mice.

O‐GlcNAcylated TAP1 Impairs Antigen Presentation and Promotes Immune Evasion in Bladder Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This article unveils a critical mechanism of immune evasion in bladder cancer, which the O‐GlcNAc modification of TAP1 disrupts antigen presentation. This modification triggers HLA‐A degradation, shielding tumor cells from CD8+ T cell attack. The findings highlight targeting this pathway as a promising therapeutic avenue to sensitize tumors to ...

Genome-Wide Analysis in Swine Associates Corneal Graft Rejection with Donor-Recipient Mismatches in Three Novel Histocompatibility Regions and One Locus Homologous to the Mouse H-3 Locus.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
In rodents, immune responses to minor histocompatibility antigens are the most important drivers of corneal graft rejection. However, this has not been confirmed in humans or in a large animal model and the genetic loci are poorly characterised, even in ...

Successful treatment of autoimmunity in NZB/NZW F1 mice with monoclonal antibody to L3T4. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
Autoimmune NZB/NZW mice were treated with weekly injections of monoclonal antibody (mAb) to L3T4, an antigen expressed on a distinct subpopulation of T cells that respond to class II major histocompatibility antigens.

Generation of CCR4/CD7 Bispecific CAR‐T Cells Resistant to Fratricide and Exhaustion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The applications of CAR T‐cell therapy in T‐cell malignancies face limitations such as fratricide, effector‐cell exhaustion, and antigen‐escape. Herein, we developed fratricide‐ and exhaustion‐resistant CAR‐T cells that targeted CCR4 and CD7 simultaneously, with optional EGFRt safety switch. Additionally, scRNA‐seq unveiled new molecular targets, which

Emergence of highly profibrotic and proinflammatory Lrat+Fbln2+ HSC subpopulation in alcoholic hepatitis

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Lrat+ quiescent hepatic stellate cells (qHSC) give rise to Lrat+Fbln2+ activated HSC (aHSC) in alcohol‐associated hepatitis and this subpopulation is highly profibrotic, inflammatory, and immunoregulatory based on their single cell transcriptomic profile. Abstract Background and Aims Relative roles of HSCs and portal fibroblasts in alcoholic hepatitis (
