DISTRIBUTION PATTERN FOR HLA SPECIFICITIES IN THE PATIENTS WITH ACUTE MYELOID LEUKEMIA

open access: yesМедицинская иммунология, 2019
The article presents a study on the distribution of gene polymorphisms in the histocompatibility antigens among the patients diagnosed with AML, and healthy donors in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as features of the HLA-A*, *B, Cw*, DRB1*, DQB1 ...

Differential role of HLA-A and HLA-B, C expression levels as prognostic markers in colon and rectal cancer

open access: yesJournal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer, 2022
Purpose The association of human leucocyte antigen (HLA) class I expression levels with the clinical course of many malignancies reflects their crucial role in the recognition and elimination of malignant cells by cognate T cells and NK cells.

HLA-B Alleles Associated with the B15 Serologically Defined Antigens

open access: yesHuman Immunology, 1997
Cells expressing HLA molecules in the B15 family were identified by serologic typing in routine testing of volunteer donors of various ethnic backgrounds for a bone marrow registry. DNA sequencing was used to identify HLA-B15 alleles associated with each serologic type and to examine the diversity within the B15 antigen family.

Evaluation of the humoral immune response to human leukocyte antigens in Brazilian renal transplant candidates. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Pre-transplant sensitization to human leukocyte antigens (HLA) is a risk factor for graft failure. Studies of the immunological profile related to anti-HLA antibodies in Brazilian renal transplant candidates are few.

Immune response to vaccines in children with celiac disease [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Celiac disease (CD) is an immune-mediated systemic condition evoked by ingestion of gluten and related prolamines in genetically susceptible subjects. The disease is featured by a variable combination of clinical signs, specific antibodies, HLA-DQ2 and ...

Association of Alport's syndrome with HLA-DR2 antigen in a group of unrelated patients

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Medical and Biological Research, 1998
A few family studies have evaluated HLA antigens in Alport's syndrome; however, there are no large population studies. In the present report, we studied 40 unrelated white patients with Alport's syndrome seen at the Unit of Renal Transplantation, Faculty

The influence of HLA matching on cytomegalovirus hepatitis and chronic rejection after liver transplantation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
Previous findings in liver transplantation patients have raised the concept that HLA plays a dualistic role. HLA matching will reduce rejection but may augment MHC restricted cellular immune mechanisms of liver allograft injury. To evaluate this concept,

Public antigenic determinant on a family of HLA-B molecules. [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Investigation, 1979
Serologic cross-reactivity among allelic gene products commonly occurs in the HLA complex, but the molecular basis of these serologic phenomena is incompletely characterized. Because of strong cross-reactivity among antigens comprising the B7 cross-reactive group (i.e., HLA-B7, Bw22, B27, B40, and Bw42) and because of the association of several ...

Sonographic Pattern of Subacute Thyroiditis Is HLA-Dependent

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology, 2019
Background: Since 1977 the susceptibility to SAT has been known to be HLA-B*35-related in ~70% of patients. Recently it has been demonstrated that SAT is associated with the presence of HLA-B*18:01 and DRB1*01, as well as with HLA-C*04:01.

Frequency of Major Histocompatibility Antigens Class I in Mazandaran Province

open access: yesJournal of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences, 2022
Background and purpose: Major histocompatibility antigens are the most polymorphic components of the immune system. The purpose of this study was to determine the frequency of human leukocyte antigens (HLA) in a population in Mazandaran province, Iran ...
