HN(CA)N and HN(COCA)N experiments for assignment of large disordered proteins

Journal of Biomolecular NMR, 2013
Two new 3D HN-based experiments are proposed for backbone assignment of large disordered proteins. The spectra obtained with the new pulse schemes are free of redundant diagonal peaks (HiNi-Ni) and provide sequential correlations (HiNi-Ni+1 and HiNi-Ni-1) not only between adjacent non-proline residues but also between non-proline and proline residues ...

Specific binding of heat shock protein 70 with HN-protein inhibits the HN-protein assembly in Sendai virus-infected Vero cells

Virus Research, 2006
The production of hemagglutinating virus of Japan (HVJ; Sendai virus) was inhibited at 41 degrees C, whereas it was normal at 37 degrees C. In the infected Vero cells, viral specific proteins were synthesized even at 41 degrees C, but the synthesized HN protein was not integrated into the cell membrane, resulting in the inhibition of viral production ...

Antigenic characterization of hemagglutinin-neuraminidase (HN) protein of avian paramyxoviruses by specific antisera to isolated HN subunits

Archives of Virology, 1985
Specific antisera for the isolated HN proteins of eight reference strains of avian paramyxoviruses could be prepared in guinea pigs by intraperitoneal injection of guinea pig red blood cells (GRBC) coated with purified HN proteins. In the hemagglutination inhibition (HI) tests, all reference strains reacted strongly with each homologous antiserum to ...

Rapid identification of amino acid types in proteins using phase modulated 2D HN(CACB) and 2D HN(COCACB)

Journal of Magnetic Resonance, 2016
We present a simple approach to rapidly identify amino acid types in proteins from a 2D spectrum. The method is based on the fact that (13)C(β) chemical shifts of different amino acid types fall in distinct spectral regions. By evolving the (13)C chemical shifts in the conventional HNCACB or HN(CO)CACB type experiment for a single specified delay ...

Complete nucleotide sequence of the hemagglutinin-neuraminidase (HN) mRNA of mumps virus and comparison of paramyxovirus HN proteins

Virus Research, 1989
The complete nucleotide sequence of the hemagglutinin-neuraminidase protein (HN) mRNA of the virulent SBL-1 strain of mumps virus has been determined. The mRNA contains 1887 nucleotides excluding the poly(A). The protein encoded by the mRNA has 582 amino acids and a membrane anchorage domain near the amino terminus.

Improved 3D triple resonance experiments, HNN and HN(C)N, for HN and 15N sequential correlations in (13C, 15N) labeled proteins: Application to unfolded proteins

Journal of Biomolecular NMR, 2001
Two triple resonance experiments, HNN and HN(C)N, are presented which correlate HN and 15N resonances sequentially along the polypeptide chain of a doubly (13C, 15N) labeled protein. These incorporate several improvements over the previously published sequences for a similar purpose and have several novel features.
