Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Ulcerative colitis is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), but progress in exploring its pathogenesis and finding effective drugs for its prevention and treatment has stalled in recent years. The seeds of Moringa oleifera Lam. are rich in proteins

Dissipationless Collapse of Spherical Protogalaxies and the Fundamental Plane [PDF]
Following on from the numerical work of Capelato, de Carvalho & Carlberg (1995, 1997), where dissipationless merger simulations were shown to reproduce the "Fundamental Plane" (FP) of elliptical galaxies, we investigate whether the end products of pure ...

Rad27/FEN1 prevents accumulation of Okazaki fragments and ribosomal DNA copy number changes
The budding yeast Rad27 is a structure‐specific endonuclease. Here, the authors reveal that Rad27 is crucial for maintaining the stability of the ribosomal RNA gene (rDNA) region. Rad27 deficiency leads to the accumulation of Okazaki fragments and changes in rDNA copy number.

Altering symplectic manifolds by homologous recombination [PDF]
We use symplectic cohomology to study the non-uniqueness of symplectic structures on the smooth manifolds underlying affine varieties. Starting with a Lefschetz fibration on such a variety and a finite set of primes, the main new tool is a method, which ...

The role of fibroblast growth factors in cell and cancer metabolism
Fibroblast growth factor (FGF) signaling regulates crucial signaling cascades that promote cell proliferation, survival, and metabolism. Therefore, FGFs and their receptors are often dysregulated in human diseases, including cancer, to sustain proliferation and rewire metabolism.

The Non-Homologous Nature of Solar Diameter Variations
We show in this paper that the changes of the solar diameter in response to variations of large scale magnetic fields and turbulence are not homologous.
