Cohomology of Tanabe algebras

open access: yesExtracta Mathematicae
In this paper we study the (co)homology of Tanabe algebras, which are a family of subalgebras of the partition algebras exhibiting a Schur–Weyl duality with certain complex reflection groups.

Homology decompositions and groups inducing fusion systems

open access: yes, 2011
We relate the construction of groups which realize saturated fusion systems and signaliser functors with homology decompositions of p-local finite groups. We prove that the cohomology ring of Robinson's construction is in some precise sense very close to

(Co)homology of $$\Gamma $$-groups and $$\Gamma $$-homological algebra

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Mathematics, 2022
This is a further investigation of our approach to group actions in homological algebra in the settings of homology of {\Gamma}-simplicial groups, particularly of {\Gamma}-equivariant homology and cohomology of {\Gamma}-groups. This approach could be called {\Gamma}-homological algebra.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

On the cyclic homology theory of algebras

open access: yesScientific African
In this paper, the (Co)homology theory of pure algebra will be studied. We aim to study the homological theory of cyclic homology and its properties. The triviality property of cohomology groups of algebras will be obtained.

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Equivariant geometric K-homology for compact Lie group actions

open access: yes, 2010
Let G be a compact Lie-group, X a compact G-CW-complex. We define equivariant geometric K-homology groups K^G_*(X), using an obvious equivariant version of the (M,E,f)-picture of Baum-Douglas for K-homology.

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

El concepto de homología filogenética y la selección de caracteres taxonómicos

open access: yesBotan‪ical Sciences, 1996
The practical problem of selecting taxonomic characters not only requires an extensive empirical basis. It also demands an examination of theories and epistemological principles behind character analysis.

Default Mode Network Analysis of APOE Genotype in Cognitively Unimpaired Subjects Based on Persistent Homology

open access: yesFrontiers in Aging Neuroscience, 2020
Current researches on default mode network (DMN) in normal elderly have mainly focused on finding some dysfunctional areas with decreased or increased connectivity. The global network dynamics of apolipoprotein E (APOE) e4 allele group is rarely studied.
