MULTILOCUS STRUCTURE OF NATURAL POPULATIONS OF HORDEUM SPONTANEUM [PDF]

open access: yesGenetics, 1980
ABSTRACT The association of alleles among different loci was studied in natural populations of Hordeum spontaneum, the evolutionary progenitor of cultivated barley. The variance of the number of heterozygous loci in two randomly chosen gametes affords a useful measure of such association.

Diversity and Sources of Multiple Disease Resistance in Hordeum spontaneum [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Disease, 2003
Hordeum spontaneum, the progenitor of cultivated barley, is known to be a rich source of disease resistance genes. The objective of this study was to assess the diversity of H. spontaneum accessions from Israel and Jordan for their reaction to six fungal pathogens of importance to cultivated barley in the United States and Canada.

Resistance of wild barley (Hordeum spontaneum) and barley landraces to leaf stripe (Drechslera graminea)

open access: yesPhytopathologia Mediterranea, 2020
Wild barley (Hordeum spontaneum) and barley landraces are important sources of genetic variation for disease resistance. Thirty wild barley (H. spontaneum) genotypes and 30 barley landraces were evaluated for susceptibility to two Drechslera graminea ...

Phytotoxicity effects of soil amended residues of wild barley (Hordeum spontaneum Koch) on growth and yield of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) [PDF]

open access: yesDesert, 2008
Wheat (Triticum aestivum) growth and yield are depressed by physical and chemical interference of weeds. Recently, wild barley (Hordeum spontaneum) population has increased in wheat fields of many provinces of Iran.

Allelopathic effect of Carthamus tinctorius on weeds and crops [PDF]

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 2020
Background: Allelopathic plants like safflower (Carthamus tinctorius) can be considered as natural herbicides for weeds management in field. But there is not enough research on safflower genotypes allelopathy potential.

Evaluating the Allelopathic Effects of Salvia rosmarinus on Selected Weeds and Triticum aestivum L. [PDF]

open access: yesAl-Qadisiyah Journal For Agriculture Sciences
Allelopathic effects of Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) have been investigated on 3 weeds: Vicia sativa, Vicia ervila, Hordeum spontaneum and one important cereal crop Triticum aestivum L. (bread wheat). A Laboratory experiment was laid out and 0.00, 1.

Characterization of the complete mitochondrial genome of Elymus magellanicus (É.Desv.) Á.Löve (Poaceae, Pooideae)

open access: yesMitochondrial DNA. Part B. Resources, 2023
Elymus magellanicus (É.Desv.) Á.Löve is a foliage accent plant that found in South America. In this study, the mitochondrial genome of E. magellanicus was sequenced, assembled, and annotated. The complete circular mitogenome of E. magellanicus is 583,450
