ABSTRACT Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection worldwide and is responsible for anogenital warts and several cancers. Although the effectiveness of female HPV vaccination has been well established since its introduction in 2006, no systematic review has specifically evaluated the impact of male vaccination ...

Generation and production of AAVLP(HPV16/31L2).
A) Schematic presentation of the chimeric VP3 protein with the insertions of the HPV31 and HPV16 L2 peptides. The amino acid residues refer to the VP1 protein sequence. Solid lines indicate the VP3 protein and open bars the L2 peptides.

What's new? Persistent infection with high‐risk human papillomavirus (HPV) causes most invasive cervical cancer cases, leading many countries to transition from cytology to primary HPV‐based screening. Despite the benefits, HPV‐based screening may also lead to unnecessary procedures, psychological burden, and strain on healthcare systems.

Internalization of exosomes into DonorI-HPV16 HFKs.
(A) DonorI-HPV16 HFKs were incubated with exosomes labelled with fluorescent dye PKH67 in 10, 20 and 40 μL of exosome suspension and observed for PKH67 positive cells at 6 and 24 hours post incubation.

Immunoresponse of AAVLP(HPV16/31L2) in rabbits.
Three rabbits were immunized i.m. four times with AAVLP(HPV16/31L2) particles (2E+12 capsids equivalent to 13.2 µg) together with montanide ISA720 as an adjuvant. A) Ten weeks after the first immunization sera was analyzed by an L2 peptide-based ELISA to

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

Frequency distribution of HPV16 3′-breakpoints in different segments of the HPV16 early region.
The distribution of HPV16 3′-breakpoints of viral-cellular DNA junctions (n = 74) was analyzed within the five different segments E1, E2, E5, E1-Ac and Ac-PAE of the HPV16 early region.
