Beyond heat stress: the heat shock factor family orchestrates multifaceted abiotic stress responses in perennial ryegrass

open access: yesGrass Research
Perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) is a vital cool-season forage and turfgrass species whose productivity is increasingly threatened by climate change-induced abiotic stresses. The Heat Shock Factor (HSF) family are key transcription factors known to

The Predictive Role of Low Spatial Frequencies in Automatic Face Processing: A Visual Mismatch Negativity Investigation

open access: yesFrontiers in Human Neuroscience, 2022
Visual processing is thought to function in a coarse-to-fine manner. Low spatial frequencies (LSF), conveying coarse information, would be processed early to generate predictions.

A Novel Approach of Virotherapy Based Hsf-1 Shrna in Cancer Eradication [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Cancer is the second leading cause of death worldwide with continues rise mortality rate. Current cancer treatment modalities are still ineffective and associated with many side effects leading to robust research to find new specific target therapy. Heat

Homological Region Adjacency Tree for a 3D Binary Digital Image via HSF Model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Given a 3D binary digital image I, we define and compute an edge-weighted tree, called Homological Region Tree (or Hom-Tree, for short). It coincides, as unweighted graph, with the classical Region Adjacency Tree of black 6-connected components (CCs ...

High‐Resolution and Real‐Time In Situ Generation of Cellular Spheroids by Laser‐Assisted Bioprinting for Guided Microvascularization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Micro‐injection laser‐assisted bioprinting enables ultrafast and precise patterning of small endothelial cell spheroids by injecting a highly concentrated single‐cell suspension into GelMA/ColMA hydrogels. In co‐culture with fibroblasts, controlled pre‐vasculogenic network formation is obtained at microscale resolution.

Bifunctional Surfaces With Immobilized Antibodies and Bioactive Peptides Mediate Selective Capture and Proliferation of Endothelial Colony‐Forming Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A tunable bifunctional surface is developed by combining Fc‐binding peptides and RGD motifs to present oriented antibodies alongside integrin‐mediated signaling. The platform selectively captures endothelial colony‐forming cells while promoting their adhesion and proliferation.

Membrane Damage and Metabolic Disruption as the Mechanisms of Linalool against Pseudomonas fragi: An Amino Acid Metabolomics Study

open access: yesFoods
Pseudomonas fragi (P. fragi) is usually detected in low-temperature meat products, and seriously threatens food safety and human health. Therefore, the study investigated the antibacterial mechanism of linalool against P.

Nanozymes at the Bio‐Nano Interface: From Synthesis, Defect Engineering, Catalytic Behavior in Biological Microenvironments, and Biosafety Implications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Nanozymes (NZs) have emerged as versatile artificial enzymes with tunable catalytic properties driven by atomic coordination, defect engineering, and surface chemistry. This review presents a bio–nano interface framework linking synthesis strategies, structural design, and catalytic behavior within complex biological microenvironments.

Hirsutella Sinensis Fungus Regulates CD8+ T Cell Exhaustion Through Involvement of T-Bet/Eomes in the Tumor Microenvironment

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2021
Background: Targeting exhausted T (Tex) cells is a promising strategy for anti-tumour treatment. Previously, we demonstrated that Hirsutella sinensis fungus (HSF) could significantly increase T cell infiltration and the effector T cell ratio in the tumor
