Peptide‐based responsive molecular fluorescent probes for precision oncology
Peptide‐based responsive fluorescent probes have emerged as adaptive functional materials for precision tumor theranostics, combining tumor‐selective recognition, programmable stimulus responsiveness, and modular tunability. They enable high‐contrast imaging, intraoperative guidance, real‐time monitoring, and multimodal applications, while next ...

ABSTRACT Metal contamination in aquatic ecosystems poses substantial risks to freshwater organisms, with mixture effects often deviating from predictions based on single‐metal toxicity. Understanding how age‐specific sensitivities and multiple exposure pathways influence mixture effects is critical for accurate risk assessment.

The heat shock proteins (Hsps). II. Hsp70: biomarker and actor of cellular stress [PDF]
peer reviewedThe exposure of any organism to high temperature induces rapid and transient cellular overexpression of specific proteins, the heat shock proteins (Hsps). This response, called heat shock response, was initially discovered in Drosophila. The

ABSTRACT Objective Currently, there are no blood biomarkers available for the early diagnosis of laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC). The objective of this study was to search for potential plasma biomarkers for the diagnosis of LSCC. Methods Plasma samples were taken from patients with LSCC and healthy controls for proteomic analysis.

A Survey of Heat Shock Protein Length Variation Within and Between Species of Drosophila [PDF]
Forty iso-females lines of Drosophila melanogaster were surveyed by SDS-PAGE for length polymorphisms in their heat shock proteins. None was observed. The 70K and 27K HSP's were further analyzed by peptide mapping using Staphylococcus aureas va protease,

Exposure to 305 nm PP NPs significantly disrupts the airway barrier‐on‐chip, reducing TEER, suppressing ZO‐1/ACE2 expression, and triggering ROS‐mediated apoptosis. In biological media, PP NPs exhibit a biphasic adsorption pattern, leading to the formation of a protein corona that increases their size to 364 nm.
