The Relative Roles of Climate Variation and Human Activities in Vegetation Dynamics in Coastal China from 2000 to 2019

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2022
Vegetation in the terrestrial ecosystem, sensitive to climate change and human activities, exerts a crucial influence on the carbon cycles in land, ocean, and atmosphere.

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Spatiotemporal Variation of Vegetation on the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau and the Influence of Climatic Factors and Human Activities on Vegetation Trend (2000–2019)

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2020
Vegetation is the terrestrial ecosystem component most sensitive to climate change. The Qinghai–Tibet Plateau (QTP), characterized by a cold climate and vulnerable ecosystems, has experienced significant warming in previous decades.

Adrenotrophic Activity of Human Urine.

open access: yesExperimental Biology and Medicine, 1949
SummaryUsing a specific and sensitive assay procedure, we have tested the urine of normal persons and of patients having a variety of disease states for its adrenotrophic activity. Tests using both fresh urine and urine concentrates prepared in three different ways were carried out.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

The Utility And Recommendations Of Adapted Physical Activity In The Care Of People With Autism Spectrum Disorder In A Sports Environment

open access: yesمجلة العلوم و التكنولوجية للنشاطات البدنية و الرياضية
This research aims to evaluate the impact of an adapted sports programme on children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), through an experimental design based on a comparison between an experimental group that received the programme and a control group ...

Antioxidant activity in human faeces [PDF]

open access: yesBritish Journal of Nutrition, 2000
Scarcely-absorbed antioxidants might reach the large bowel and exhibit antioxidant activity, opposing the action of reactive O species by bacterial and cellular metabolism and thus contributing to protection from oxidative damage-induced gastrointestinal diseases.
