Study of osteogenic differentiation of human adipose-derived stem cells (HASCs) on bacterial cellulose

Carbohydrate Polymers, 2014
Bacterial cellulose (BC) has been proposed as a biomaterial applied in biomedical scope due to its good biocompatibility. Recent reports showed that human adipose-derived stem cells (HASCs) have become a new choice to be used as seeding cells in tissue engineering.

Human adipose‐derived stem cells (hASCs) proliferate and differentiate in osteoblast‐like cells on trabecular titanium scaffolds

Journal of Biomedical Materials Research - Part A, 2010
AbstractThe use of stem cells in regenerative medicine is an appealing area of research that has received a great deal of interest in recent years. The population called human adipose tissue‐derived stem cells (hASCs) share many of the characteristic of its counterpart of marrow including extensive proliferative potential and the ability to undergo ...

The differentiation of human adipose-derived stem cells (hASCs) into osteoblasts is promoted by low amplitude, high frequency vibration treatment

Bone, 2011
Several studies have demonstrated that tissue culture conditions influence the differentiation of human adipose-derived stem cells (hASCs). Recently, studies performed on SAOS-2 and bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) have shown the effectiveness of high frequency vibration treatment on cell differentiation to osteoblasts.

The angiogenic properties of human adipose-derived stem cells (HASCs) are modulated by the High mobility group box protein 1 (HMGB1)

International Journal of Cardiology, 2017
Peripheral arterial disease (PAD), is a major health problem. Many studies have been focused on the possibilities of treatment offered by vascular regeneration. Human adipose-derived stem cells (HASCs), multipotent CD34+ stem cells found in the stromal-vascular fraction of adipose tissues, which are capable to differentiate into multiple mesenchymal ...

Maintenance of human adipose derived stem cell (hASC) differentiation capabilities using a 3D culture

Biotechnology Letters, 2014
In this study, 3D culture system for human adipose-derived stem cell (hASC) using a BioLevitator as the bioreactor for microcarrier-based cultures was established. During the culturing period, hASCs preferred to grow in crevices between microcarriers and a high viability was maintained even when reaching confluency.

Adipogenic differentiation of scaffold-bound human adipose tissue-derived stem cells (hASC) for soft tissue engineering

Biomedical Materials, 2012
Adipose tissue engineering, instead of tissue substitution, often uses autologous adipose tissue-derived stem cells (hASC). These cells are known to improve graft integration and to support neovascularization of scaffolds when seeded onto biomaterials.

Multifunctional nanocrystalline calcium phosphates loaded with Tetracycline antibiotic combined with human adipose derived mesenchymal stromal stem cells (hASCs)

Materials Science and Engineering: C, 2016
Osteoconductive drug delivery system composed of nanocrystalline calcium phosphates (Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2/β-Ca3(PO4)2) co-doped with Yb(3+)/Er(3+) ions loaded with Tetracycline antibiotic (TC) was developed. Their effect on human adipose derived mesenchymal stromal stem cells (hASCs) as a potential reconstructive biomaterial for bone tissue regeneration was

Crescita e differenziamento osteogenico su scaffold di cellule hASC (human Adipose-derived Stem Cells)

2007

Standardization of isolation and culture protocols for the translation of human adipose-derived stem cells (hASCs) to clinical practice

2012
There are two major types of stem cells with potential application in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, namely, embryonic stem cells and adult stem cells. Embryonic stem cells (ESCs) offer exciting possibilities as they can give rise to cell types of the three germ layers, depending on culturing conditions.
