Isolation and morphology of Stem Cells from Deciduous Tooth (SHED) and Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells (hDPSC)

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2016
Dental pulp is a tissue obtained from pulp chamber of deciduous and permanent tooth which contain stem cells. Stem cell isolation procedure is performed to obtain cells from tissue using enzymatic digestion. The aim of this study is to isolate and observe the morphology of stem cells during passage 0 and passage 3.

An in vivo swine study for xeno-grafts of calcium sulfate-based bone grafts with human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs)

Materials Science and Engineering: C, 2015
The purpose of this in vivo study was to evaluate the effect of human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs) on various resorbable calcium sulfate/calcium phosphate bone grafts in bone regeneration. Granular particles of calcium sulfate dehydrate (CSD), α-calcium sulfate hemihydrate/amorphous calcium phosphate (α-CSH/ACP), and CSD/β-tricalcium phosphates (β ...

Strontium (Sr) elicits odontogenic differentiation of human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs): A therapeutic role for Sr in dentine repair?

Acta Biomaterialia, 2016
Strontium (Sr) forms a significant component of dental restorative materials and although it is widely used in toothpastes, the biological effects of Sr on the dentine-pulp complex have not been investigated. In this first study, we characterise the Sr elicited effects on human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSC) in vitro using exogenously Sr added to ...

Comparison of Characterization and Osteoblast Formation Between Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells (hDPSC) and Stem Cells from Deciduous Teeth (SHED)

2018
Dental pulp stem cells from permanent (hDPSC) and deciduous teeth (SHED) are adult mesenchymal stem cells that are less invasive and easily available for cellular therapy. The characterization and osteogenic differentiation of hDPSC and SHED are important in manipulating these cells for regenerative medicine and dentistry.

Cluster analysis and gene expression profiles: A cDNA microarray system-based comparison between human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs) and human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) for tissue engineering cell therapy

Biomaterials, 2006
We investigated gene expression patterns and functional classifications regarding the clusters of human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs) and human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs)--which possess a multipotent ability--because little is known about the precise moleculobiological clues by which these cells activate their differentiating ability or ...

Human dental pulp stem cells (HDPSC) versus osteoblast-like cells: comparison for capability of adhesion, growth and bone matrix formation on differently-shaped surfaces of biomaterials.

2008
Comparisons between HDPSC and osteoblast-like cells are made in regards to bone matrix production as well as distribution, density and adhesion to the biomaterial surfaces.
