Regulating Promiscuous Catalysis via Substrate‐Induced Transient Assembly
We report a novel substrate‐induced transient co‐assembly between a short Lys‐rich peptide and Fmoc‐Gly‐OH. In the activated state, the assembly exhibits promiscuous catalytic activity through the rate enhancements of hydrolysis and C═N condensation reactions.

HXE modulates Cu(Aβ) interaction, reducing ROS production and shifting peptide aggregation in the presence of Cu from toxic amorphous aggregates to less harmful fibrillar structures. These findings highlight HXE potential to interfere with Cu‐induced oxidative stress and aggregation pathways relevant to AD.

Stimuli‐Responsive Chemical Systems That Mimic Biological Dynamics
Chemists are designing synthetic systems that mimic life's dynamic behaviors, such as motion, sensing, adaptation, and compartmentalization, by integrating reaction networks with stimuli like light, pH, and chemical fuels. This mini‐review surveys molecular machines, responsive materials, nucleic acid networks, and artificial cells, highlighting how ...

Mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation is stimulated by red light irradiation
Light at different wavelengths has distinct effects on keratinocyte viability and metabolism. UVA light abrogates metabolic fluxes. Blue and green light have no effect on metabolic fluxes, while red light enhanced oxidative phosphorylation by promoting fatty acid oxidation. Keratinocytes are the primary constituents of sunlight‐exposed epidermis.
