Reaction of hydrazonoyl halides with N‐aryl substituted benzamidines

Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry, 1980
AbstractThe reaction between hydrazonoyl halides and N‐arylbenzamidines leads to the simultaneous formation of products derived from a substitution and a cycloaddition reaction via two independent paths.

Hydrazonoyl Halides Precursors to Synthesis of New Thiazole, Thiadiazole, and Benzothiazepine Derivatives

Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry, 2016
New series of substituted thiazole and thiadiazoles were prepared starting from N′‐(3,4‐dihydronaphthalen‐1(2H)‐ylidene)hydrazinecarbothiohydrazide by reacting with different types of hydrazonoyl chlorides. In addition, 7‐(4‐chlorophenyl)‐5,6,6a,7‐tetrahydrobenzo [b]naphtha‐[1,2‐e][1,4]thiazepine reacted with hydrazonoyl halides to afford a new ...

Tautomerism and Reactions of 1H-1,2,4-Triazole-5-thiones with Hydrazonoyl Halides

Journal fr Praktische Chemie/Chemiker-Zeitung, 1998
The acid dissociation constants (Ka) of a series of 3,4-diaryl-1H-1,2,4-triazole-5-thiones (1) were determined and were found to correlated linearly with Hammett substituent constants; log Ka = 1.06 σx − 11.01. Such a result indicates that 1 exists essentially in one tautomeric form namely the thione form.

A new efficient synthesis of pyrazoles from hydrazonoyl halides and β-oxophosphonates

Tetrahedron Letters, 2014
Abstract A new practical and efficient synthesis of 1,3,5-trisubstituted pyrazoles has been developed by reacting of hydrazonoyl halides with β-oxophosphonates under mild conditions in good yields with excellent regioselectivity. This process employs an addition–elimination sequence. Wide scope, functional group compatibility has been established.

Reactions with Hydrazonoyl Halides. Part 15.1 A Synthetic Approach to 2,3-Dihydrothiadiazoles

Journal of Chemical Research, 1998
Hydrazonoyl halides 1 and 6a–f reacted with methyl hydrazinecarbodithioate (2) and methyl 3-[1-(aryl)alkylmethylidene]hydrazinecarbodithioates (9a–d or 10a,b), in ethanolic triethylamine solution, to afford the corresponding 2-hydrazono-3,5-diphenyl-2,3-dihydro-1,3,4-thiadiazoles (3), 5-methyl-2-methylsulfanyl-6-phenylhydrazono-1,3,4-thiadiazine (8 ...

Regioselectivity in the Reactions of Bis-hydrazonoyl Halides with Pyrimidine-2-thiones

Monatshefte fuer Chemie/Chemical Monthly, 2001
Bis-hydrazonoyl chlorides react regioselectively with pyrimidine-2-thiones, which contain a masked thiourea residue, to give the hitherto unknown annelated 2,3-bis-arylhydrazono-thiazoles and 3,3′-bis-1,2,4-triazoles. Reaction of bis-hydrazonoyl chlorides with 2-methylthio derivatives gave only 3,3′-bis-1,2,4-triazoles.

Studies on Organophosphorus Compounds XI: The Reaction of Phosphorus Reagents With Hydrazonoyl Halides, Hydrazonoyl Azides, and Shiff's Bases

Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Silicon and the Related Elements, 2006
N-(chloro-furan-2-yl)methylene-N′-(4-nitrophenyl)hydrazone (I) reacted with triethylphosphite to produce the phosphonate derivative III. The tetrazine derivative VI was produced by the interaction of I with diethyl-phosphite. Hydrazonoyl azide derivatives VIIIa–c reacted with triphenyl phosphine to form the iminophosphorane derivatives Xa–c.
