Investigating pH and other electrical properties of potassium salt solutions

open access: yesFood Chemistry Advances, 2023
A recent study of ours reported that pH of common salts varies with concentration at room temperature. It can either increase in case of basic salts or decrease in case of acidic salts.

Determination of Lactate by Sequential Injection Analysis Using a Fluoride Ion-selective Electrode Detector

open access: yesElectrochemistry, 2020
A combination of sequential Injection Analysis (SIA) system and the ion-selective electrode (ISE) detector is considered to be one of a very effective analytical method. Reaction of lactate with lactate oxidase produces pyruvic acid and hydrogen peroxide.

Role of Helium-Hydrogen ratio on energetic interchange mode behaviour and its effect on ion temperature and micro-turbulence in LHD

open access: yes, 2018
In the Large helical device, a change of energetic particle mode is observed as He concentration is varied in ion-ITB type experiments, having constant electron density and input heating power but with a clear increase of central ion temperature in He ...

Origin of life: β‐sheet amyloid conformers as the primordial functional polymers on the early Earth and their role in the emergence of complex dynamic networks

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The amyloid world hypothesis of the origin‐of‐life posits that the first functional polymers on the early Earth were structurally stable cross‐β‐sheet‐based peptide amyloids capable of Darwinian‐like evolution. Peptide amyloids display self‐replication and information transfer, as well as catalytic, adaptive, and evolutive properties.
