Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

Hydrogen Embrittlement in Nb Free and Nb Microalloyed 1500 MPa Press-Hardened Steels: Mechanisms and Strain Rate Dependency

open access: yesMetals
Hydrogen embrittlement (HE) critically limits the application of ultra-high-strength press-hardened steels (PHS) in hydrogen-containing environments. This study investigated the effect of Nb microalloying on HE resistance of 1500 MPa-grade PHS. Even with

Tungsten-decorated MoP nanobelts for boosted hydrogen production

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2020
To further improve the electrochemical catalytic performance of MoP for hydrogen generation, a tungsten decoration strategy is proposed in this work, and the effect of preparation temperature was also investigated.

dUTPase is essential in zebrafish development and possesses several single‐nucleotide variants with pronounced structural and functional consequences

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Study on hydrogen embrittlement susceptibility of pipeline steel under stress

open access: yesYou-qi chuyun
ObjectiveHydrogen embrittlement poses a significant safety risk that restricts the safe operation of hydrogen pipelines. However, there is ongoing debate regarding the extent to which hydrogen penetrates pipeline steel and induces hydrogen embrittlement ...

Exon 7 splicing of ERα predicts poor prognosis and increases phenotypic heterogeneity in luminal a subtype breast cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

Integration of a Hydrogen Network with the Vacuum Gas Oil Hydrocracking Reaction

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2015
The hydrogen network of a refinery is integrated with the hydrogen consumption of Vacuum Gas Oil (VGO) hydro-cracking reactor considered. The effect of the inlet raw material and hydrogen of the VGO hydro- cracking reactor are analyzed; the quantitative ...
