Revisiting the minimum ignition energy of hydrogen–oxygen mixtures: Insights from experiment and theory

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering
The minimum ignition energy (MIE) of hydrogen–oxygen mixtures, reported as approximately 1.2 μJ, is over an order of magnitude lower than that of hydrogen–air mixtures, indicating heightened ignition hazards.

Triple‐Coupling Regulation Enables Dendrite‐Free Subzero Aqueous Zn‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A formamide‐ethanol deep eutectic electrolyte enables triple‐coupling regulation of solvation structure, interfacial chemistry, and crystallographic Zn deposition. The reconstructed Zn2+ solvation reduces water activity and suppresses side reactions, while a robust hybrid SEI stabilizes the interface.

Orbital and Electrical Dual Function of Polymer Intercalant for Promoting NH4+ Storage in Vanadium Oxide Anode

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
The impact of polyaniline insertion on the atomic orbitals and electronic structure of vanadium oxide anode is systematically investigated for the first time. The electrode exhibits an outstanding capacity and unprecedent long‐term cycling life, owing to the electron transition to the V 3dxy state and the enhanced diffusion kinetics.
