Accumulation of Hydrolyzable Tannins byAleurites fordiiCallus Culture

A callus culture of Aleurites fordii Hemsley (Euphorbiaceae) producing five galloylglucoses and an ellagitannin, geraniin, was established. The production of pentagalloylglucose was remarkably enhanced under light irradiation compared with that in the dark.
