Advancing Upcycling and Regeneration of Spent LiFePO4: Failure Mechanisms and Recovery Strategies
This review studies the failure mechanism to promote the upcycling regeneration of spent lithium iron phosphate (S‐LFP). It first summarizes the failure mechanisms of LFP batteries revealed via advanced characterization technologies and then explores the respective advantages and challenges of hydrometallurgy and direct regeneration methods.

Bioluminescent Monitoring: Detoxification of Phenol Solutions by Humic Substances and UV-irradiation [PDF]
The study demonstrates redox activity of humic substances in solutions of organic reducers and oxidizers; a series of homologous 1,4-hydroquinones (phenols) and their oxidized forms (1,4-quinones) was taken as an example.

High‐Energy‐Density Redox Flow Batteries: Mechanisms, Design Strategies, and Recent Progress
ABSTRACT The inherent intermittency of energy sources such as solar and wind power hinders the transition to renewable energy, necessitating advanced energy storage solutions. Enhancing energy density is crucial for lowering system costs and enabling large‐scale deployment.

New redox‐active oligothioguanidines are developed and used in dehydrogenative P–P coupling reactions and hydroquinone oxidations. Tetrathioguanidino‐ and tetraguanidinobenzenes oxidize high‐potential halogenated hydroquinones faster than relatively low‐potential hydroquinone.

Modelling of continuous low‐temperature emulsion co‐polymerization in 3D‐printed reactor
A kinetic model for the emulsion copolymerization of butyl acrylate/styrene at low temperatures is proposed and validated against experiments with a redox initiator system. The model was successfully transferred to a 3D‐printed tubular reactor and conversions of more than 80% and small particles sizes below 40 nm were observed.

Gold(I)-catalysed one-pot synthesis of chromans using allylic alcohols and phenols [PDF]
A gold(I)-catalysed reaction of allylic alcohols and phenols produces chromans regioselectively via a one-pot Friedel–Crafts allylation/intramolecular hydroalkoxylation sequence.

Abstract Free‐radical grafting of natural polymers often assumes that initiators only create active sites before monomer addition. We tested this by exposing sodium alginate to potassium persulphate (KPS) under typical grafting conditions without monomer (acrylamide).
