Building and using hypervideos
Proceedings Fourth IEEE Workshop on Applications of Computer Vision. WACV'98 (Cat. No.98EX201), 2002This paper presents the first version of our platform for automatically building the structure of a video sequence. The first application uses semi-automatic tools based only on image analysis for building interactive videos: decomposing the video into shots, extracting and tracking objects within each shot and linking occurrences of similar objects ...

Proceedings of the sixteenth ACM conference on Hypertext and hypermedia, 2005
Hyper-Hitchcock is a hypervideo editor enabling the direct manipulation authoring of a particular form of hypervideo called "detail-on-demand video." This form of hypervideo allows a single link out of the currently playing video to provide more details on the content currently being presented.

Proceedings of the 14th International Academic MindTrek Conference: Envisioning Future Media Environments, 2010
In traditional video, the user is locked to the angle where the camera was pointing to during the capture of the video. With 360° video recording, there are no longer these boundaries, and 360° video capturing devices are becoming more common and affordable to the general public.

A Hypervideo Model for Learning Objects
Proceedings of the 28th ACM Conference on Hypertext and Social Media, 2017Learning Objects (LOs) are entities that can be used, reused, or referred during the teaching process. They are commonly embedded into documents that establish spatial and temporal relationships on their contents. Hypervideos LOs allow students to individualize their learning experience with non-linear browsing mechanisms and content adaptation.

A formal approach to hypervideo design
2007 14th International Workshop on Systems, Signals and Image Processing and 6th EURASIP Conference focused on Speech and Image Processing, Multimedia Communications and Services, 2007This paper presents a formal approach to hypermedia design and implementation. Hypermedia and its synchronization are explained, along with its spatial, temporal and logical aspects. A possible design and implementation of adaptive, interactive, hypermedia educational content related to the course digital systems are presented. The hypermedia documents

Designing affordances for the navigation of detail-on-demand hypervideo
Proceedings of the working conference on Advanced visual interfaces, 2004We introduced detail-on-demand video as a simple type of hypervideo that allows users to watch short video segments and to follow hyperlinks to see additional detail. Such video lets users quickly access desired information without having to view the entire contents linearly.

Point of view-an experiment in linear hypervideo
Proceedings IEEE International Conference on Multimedia Computing and Systems, 2003The article describes a prototype that implements a new model for interactive movie viewing. The demo contains a short movie that was filmed from several points of view. The user can choose the angle from which he would like to watch the movie by selecting an appropriate link. The user's selections do not interfere with the development of the narrative.

Authoring Hypervideos Learning Objects
2020The development of hypervideo-based Learning Objects (LOs) is complex and usually requires a multidisciplinary team, e.g., software developers, designers, and content specialists. In such a scenario, it is important to provide easy-to-use and flexible authoring tools that allow teachers create their educational content by themselves.

HyLive: Hypervideo-Authoring for Live Television
2008In this paper we discuss the commonalities and differences of hypervideo and interactive television. We show that, even if the interaction and presentation of both are similar, there are strong differences in handling the content and the link structure of those media.
