T Cell Exhaustion in Cancer Immunotherapy: Heterogeneity, Mechanisms, and Therapeutic Opportunities
T cell exhaustion limits immunotherapy efficacy. This article delineates its progression from stem‐like to terminally exhausted states, governed by persistent antigen, transcription factors, epigenetics, and metabolism. It maps the exhaustion landscape in the TME and proposes integrated reversal strategies, providing a translational roadmap to overcome

A well-conserved Plasmodium falciparum var gene shows an unusual stage-specific transcript pattern [PDF]
The var multicopy gene family encodes Plasmodium falciparum erythrocyte membrane protein 1 (PfEMP1) variant antigens, which, through their ability to adhere to a variety of host receptors, are thought to be important virulence factors.

Hepatocyte BDNF Acts as a Novel Immune Checkpoint to Restrain TLR4‐Mediated Acute Hepatitis
This study identifies hepatocyte‐derived BDNF as an endogenous TLR4 antagonist that alleviates acute hepatitis. BDNF is downregulated in hepatocytes via REST‐mediated transcriptional repression during ALI/ALF. Mechanistically, BDNF binds to TLR4 on macrophages to suppress inflammation.

Characterization of the murine Icam-1 gene
Intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1, CD54) is a cell adhesion molecule that interacts with the leukocyte beta 2 integrins, LFA-1 and Mac-1. Murine inflammatory models are being utilized increasingly to define the role that ICAM-1 induction plays in the initiation of inflammation. We have isolated murine genomic clones that contain the Icam-1 gene

Regulation of ICAM-1 in Cells of the Monocyte/Macrophage System in Microgravity
Cells of the immune system are highly sensitive to altered gravity, and the monocyte as well as the macrophage function is proven to be impaired under microgravity conditions.
