Automated FRAP microscopy for high‐throughput analysis of protein dynamics in chromatin organization and transcription

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
RoboMic is an automated confocal microscopy pipeline for high‐throughput functional imaging in living cells. Demonstrated with fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP), it integrates AI‐driven nuclear segmentation, ROI selection, bleaching, and analysis.

DESEMPENHO DE FRANGOS DE CORTE, SEXADOS, SUBMETIDOS A DIETAS FORMULADAS PELOS CONCEITOS DE PROTEÍNA BRUTA versus PROTEÍNA IDEAL PERFORMANCE OF SEXED BROILER BIRDS, SUBMITTED TO DIETS FORMULATED BY THE CONCEPTS OF CRUDE PROTEIN versus IDEAL PROTEIN

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Ideal Glasses and Protein Network Dynamics

open access: yes, 2005
Quantitative topological analogies between the flexibilities of optimized inorganic glasses, small biological molecules, and proteins suggest that mean field estimates of internal stress are useful in identifying mechanisms supporting living materials and their enzymatic products.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Comparison of Different Ideal Amino Acid Ratios in Male and Female Broiler Chickens of 21 to 42 Days of Age

open access: yesThe Journal of Poultry Science, 2008
An amino acid bioassay was carried out to compare responses of male and female broiler chicks to different ideal amino acid (AA) ratios from 21 to 42d of age.

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Growth Responses of Broiler Chicks to Different Levels of Threonine and Tryptophan in Chemically-Defined Diets

open access: yesThe Journal of Poultry Science, 2007
In Experiment 1 three semi-purified diets were formulated using isolated soy protein and crystalline amino acids (AA) to contain three profiles of essential amino acids (EAA) based on NRC (1994; Diet 1), Illinois Ideal Chick Protein (IICP; Diet 2) and ...
