GPER agonist G-1 decreases adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) cell growth in vitro and in vivo [PDF]
We have previously demonstrated that estrogen receptor (ER) alpha (ESR1) increases proliferation of adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) through both an estrogen-dependent and -independent (induced by IGF-II/IGF1R pathways) manner.

Plasma Distribution and Signaling Activities of IGF-II Precursors
IGF-II is thought to function through activation of the IGF-I receptor (IGF-IR) and the A isoform of the IR, with the IGF-IR being relevant to tumorigenesis and the IR to both tumorigenesis and metabolic control. In the paraneoplastic syndrome of nonislet cell tumor hypoglycemia, tumor-derived IGF-II has been proposed to exert both proliferative and ...

Common polymorphism in H19 associated with birthweight and cord blood IGF-II levels in humans [PDF]
Background: Common genetic variation at genes that are imprinted and exclusively maternally expressed could explain the apparent maternal-specific inheritance of low birthweight reported in large family pedigrees.

Radioimmunoassay for Insulin-Like Growth Factor II(IGF-II).
Insulin-like growth factor II (IGF-II) levels in human plasma were measured in physiological and pathological conditions by radioimmunoassay (RIA) with biosynthetic IGF-II. This RIA was specific for IGF-II and cross-reactivity with IGF-I was 1%. The sensitivity was 15 pg/tube with 50% displacement at 50 pg/tube.

Hyaluronan and Hyaluronidase, which is better for embryo development? [PDF]
Our aim was to examine size-specific effects of Hyaluronan (HA) on preimplantation embryo development. We investigated the effects of Hyalovet (HA, 500–750 kDa; the size produced by HA synthase-3, which is abundant in the oviduct), or HA treated with ...
