Repetitive imidazole synthesis using an immobilized imidazole template

The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 1990

The 2H-Imidazoles

1984
Publisher Summary This chapter seeks to cover all known 2H-imidazoles. The most important synthetic routes for the synthesis of 2H-imidazoles have been from ketones by cyclization, by the transformation of imidazolone derivatives, and by the reaction between 1H-imidazoles and electrophiles.

N-(Chlorosulfinyl)-imidazole as a New Imidazole Transfer Reagent

HETEROCYCLES, 1980
Abstract The usefulness of diimidazoles2 such as N, N′-carbonyldi-imidazole (1), and N, N′-thionyldiimidazole (2) in organic synthesis has been accumulated recently. In connection with the continuing our studies on the reaction using 1 or 2 3 (carbonyl, thionyl, and imidazole transfer reactions), our particular interest was focused on the synthesis of ...

Imidazole anticonvulsants: structure-activity relationships of [(biphenylyloxy)alkyl]imidazoles

Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 1987
The [(biphenylyloxy)alkyl]imidazoles were found to be potent anticonvulsants. The most potent compound of the series, 1-[2- ([1,1'-biphenyl]-2-yloxy)ethyl]-1H-imidazole (4), had an ED50 of 15.5 mg/kg against maximal-electroshock-induced seizures in mice after oral administration; the horizontal screen ED50 was 320 mg/kg, revealing that the compound has

Origins of the Stability of Imidazole–Imidazole, Benzene–Imidazole, and Benzene–Indole Dimers: CCSD(T)/CBS and SAPT Calculations

The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2012
The respective structures and stabilities of imidazole-imidazole, benzene-imidazole, and benzene-indole dimers have been investigated using different DFT-D functional, MP2, CCSD(T), and SAPT levels of theory with a medium basis set. Comparative analysis of binding energies and structural parameters of the dimers points to a preference for stacking ...

On the photochemical phosphorylation of imidazole

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Bioenergetics, 1972
Abstract It has not proved possible to repeat the reported anaerobic photophosphorylation of imidazole to produce imidazole 1-phosphate. The involvement of an analogous reaction in mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation is therefore further in doubt.

Zeolite A imidazolate frameworks

Nature Materials, 2007
Faujasite (FAU) and zeolite A (LTA) are technologically important porous zeolites (aluminosilicates) because of their extensive use in petroleum cracking and water softening. Introducing organic units and transition metals into the backbone of these types of zeolite allows us to expand their pore structures, enhance their functionality and access new ...

Analysis of intermolecular interaction energy inputs in benzene-imidazole and imidazole-imidazole systems in parallel displaced and T-configuration

Biophysics, 2013
Intermolecular interactions in several dimer aromatic systems were analyzed to determine how various energy contributions (electrostatic, exchange, repulsion, and polarization) change depending on the value of monomers separation. Different contributions to the intermolecular energy interactions between imidazole-imidazole and benzene-imidazole dimers ...
