Cerebellitis associated with cryptococcal-immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome
Cerebellitis associated with cryptococcal immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome (IRIS) has not been previously reported. We describe a unique case of IRIS associated cerebellitis in an AIDS patient with cryptococcosis.

Immune Reconstitution in HIV-Infected Patients [PDF]
The prognosis of patients infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) type 1 has dramatically improved since the advent of potent antiretroviral therapies (ARTs), which have enabled sustained suppression of HIV replication and recovery of CD4 T cell

The lipid droplet inhibitor (LDI), templated with large‐pore mesoporous silica and functionalized with PKCα C1A and lipase, targets lipid degradation in fatty liver. The LDI maintains stable association with lipid droplets, thereby suppressing their formation and expansion.

TRPA1+αCGRP+ sensory neurons in the nodose ganglion detect external insults such as lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and interact directly with pulmonary neuroendocrine cells (PNECs), promoting their activation and proliferation. This neural‐epithelial interaction amplifies lung inflammation.

Persistent Cryptococcal Brain Infection despite Prolonged Immunorecovery in an HIV-Positive Patient. [PDF]
Background. HIV-positive people starting combined antiretroviral therapy may develop immune reconstitution to latent or treated opportunistic infections. Immune reconstitution to cerebral Cryptococcus is poorly understood and can be fatal.
