Decreased Thermal Conductivity of Polyethylene Chain Influenced by Short Chain Branching [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
In this paper, we have studied the effect of short branches on the thermal conductivity of a polyethylene (PE) chain. With a reverse non-equilibrium molecular dynamics method applied, thermal conductivities of the pristine PE chain and the PE-ethyl chain are simulated and compared.

Plants, plant‐derived compounds, probiotics, and postbiotics as green agents to fight against poultry coccidiosis: A review

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Therapeutic effect of natural products on chicken coccidiosis. Abstract The intestinal tract is the main place for animals to digest food and absorb nutrients, which also serves as the first line of defense against pathogens that invade the internal environment.

Next-Generation-Sequencing of the Human B-Cell Receptor Improves Detection and Diagnosis and Enhances Disease Monitoring in Patients with Gastric Mucosa-Associated Lymphoid Tissue Lymphoma

open access: yesJournal of Molecular Pathology
Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphomas are slow-growing B-cell lymphomas mainly diagnosed in the stomach and termed gastric MALT lymphoma (G-MALT).

Incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events in patients with rheumatoid arthritis treated with Janus kinase inhibitors compared to biologic disease‐modifying antirheumatic drugs: data from an international collaboration of registries (the "JAK‐pot" study)

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Objective To assess the incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in RA patients treated with JAKi, TNF‐inhibitors (TNFi) or biologic Disease‐Modifying Anti‐Rheumatic Drugs with other modes of action (bDMARD‐OMA) in a multi‐country, real‐world population.

A case of amyloid goitre in heavy chain amyloidosis: diagnostic challenges and clinical implications

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Case Reports in Internal Medicine
Immunoglobulin heavy chain amyloidosis (AH amyloidosis) is an extremely rare subtype of immunoglobulin-derived amyloidosis and there is limited literature on how to diagnose and manage this disorder. We describe a rare case of AH amyloidosis with amyloid

Analysis of triacylglycerol and phospholipid sn‐positional isomers by liquid chromatographic and mass spectrometric methodologies

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Analysis of triacylglycerol (TG) and phospholipid sn‐positional isomers can be divided into two main categories: (a) direct separation by chromatography or other means such as ion mobility mass spectrometry and (b) quantification of regioisomer ratios by structurally informative fragment ions with mass spectrometric methods.

Fighting Antibiotic Resistance: Insights Into Human Barriers and New Opportunities

open access: yesBioEssays, EarlyView.
Antibiotic resistance is a public health issue leading to the emergence of multi‐resistant bacteria. Human‐dependent factors are now driving the increase of resistance, notably through antibiotic misuse in human and animal health and environmental pollution.
