Imprint cytology of testicular carcinoid.
背景:まれな精巣カルチノイドの1例を経験したのでその捺印細胞所見を中心に報告する.症例:症例は64歳, 男性.肉眼的血尿を主訴とし当院受診となった.左精巣に3cm大の腫瘤を触知, 画像検査にて精巣腫瘍を疑い左高位除睾術を施行した. 捺印細胞像としては, 腫瘍細胞は孤立散在性あるいは疎な結合を示す平面的な集団として認められた.核は円形でクロマチンは細穎粒状で均等に分布したものが多く, 裸核の細胞や, 細穎粒状の豊富な細胞質を持つ細胞が多数認められた. こうした所見よりセミノーマあるいはカルチノイドが疑われたが確定には至らなかった. その後, 組織学的な検索によりカルチノイドと診断された.結語:まれな精巣カルチノイドを経験した.

Xanthogranulomatous reaction can occur in any organ but the most common sites are kidney and gallbladder. Xanthogranulomatous appendicitis (XA) is a rare clinical entity. There are a few case reports of XA diagnosed on histopathology but none on cytology.
