Multifunctional Adhesive Hydrogel for Rapid Cardiac Hemostasis and Antibacterial Protection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A multifunctional polyacrylamide/gelatin/tannic acid hydrogel (PGT) is presented for rapid cardiac hemostasis under wet, dynamic conditions. Surface tannic acid coating enables instantaneous wet adhesion, accelerates coagulation, and confers antibacterial activity within a single platform.

In vitro modeling of the prostate cancer microenvironment

Advanced Drug Delivery Reviews, 2014
Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed malignancy in men and advanced disease is incurable. Model systems are a fundamental tool for research and many in vitro models of prostate cancer use cancer cell lines in monoculture. Although these have yielded significant insight they are inherently limited by virtue of their two-dimensional (2D) growth

In Vitro Reconstruction of Brain Tumor Microenvironment

Biochip Journal, 2019
The cancer cells in brain tumors interact with their microenvironment, which includes stromal cells, the extracellular matrix (ECM), and the physical properties of tissues. The reciprocal interaction between cancer cells and the surrounding microenvironment regulates the biological behavior of cancer cells.
