Ovarian Matrisome Dynamics and αvβ3‐Mediated Regulation in Early Follicular Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The matrisome undergoes dynamic remodeling during early follicular development. Integrin αvβ3 mediates matrisome signals, regulating primordial follicle activation/atresia and secondary follicle growth via Hippo/mTOR pathways, with conserved roles in human ovaries, offering therapeutic targets for ovarian disorders.

Cytokine-Supplemented Maturation Medium Enhances Cytoplasmic and Nuclear Maturation in Bovine Oocytes

open access: yesAnimals
Bovine in vitro oocyte maturation (IVM) is an easy way to obtain oocytes for subsequent assisted reproductive techniques but is inefficient compared to in vivo maturation.

Effect of collection-maturation interval time and pregnancy status of donor mares on oocyte developmental competence in horse cloning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The current limitations for obtaining ovaries from slaughterhouses and the low efficiency of in vivo follicular aspiration necessitate a complete understanding of the variables that affect oocyte developmental competence in the equine.

DCAF13 Safeguards Hematopoietic Stem Cells via RRS1‐Regulated Ribosome Biogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes DCAF13 as an essential regulator for hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) function. Its deletion in mice causes lethal pancytopenia and HSC depletion. Mechanistically, DCAF13 interacts with RRS1 and mediates its non‐degradative K27‐linked ubiquitination, thereby stabilizing RRS1 to maintain ribosome biogenesis and protein translation ...

Apoptosis in human unfertilized oocytes after Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Objective To investigate the presence of programmed cell death in unfertilized oocytes after intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), assuming that previous apoptotic events could be correlated with the fertilization failure.

PSMA8‐Containing 20S Proteasome Regulates Spermiogenesis and Male Fertility

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PSMA8 assembles s20S proteasome that degrades specific substrates in elongating spermatids. Degradation of s20S‐substrates activates translation of FXR1‐target mRNAs, which are essential for mitochondrial sheath formation and sperm morphogenesis.

Identification of Protein Content of Immature Canine Oocytes

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science
The use of biotechnologies in wild canids, such as in vitro oocyte maturation (IVM) and fertilization (IVF), has received little attention. One of the main reasons is the difficulty in finding a relevant in vitro model, and domestic dogs (Canis lupus ...

A case of intersex occurrence in Steindachneridion parahybae (Steindachner, 1877) (Siluriformes: Pimelodidae) under captivity condition: A cytogenetic and morphological study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Poco se sabe sobre la biología reproductiva de Steindachneridion parahybae , una especie de teleósteo gonocorístico en peligro de extinción que habita la cuenca del río Paraíba do Sul y en éste trabajo se describe por primera vez la aparición de ...

Evaluation of Different Techniques in Recovering of Oocytes and Storage Duration of Ovaries on the Quality and Quantity of Bovine in Vitro Maturation

open access: yesBuletin Peternakan, 2020
This study aimed to evaluate different recovery techniques of oocytes and the duration time between ovary collection and processing in the laboratory on the quality and quantity of Simmental cross bovine oocytes in vitro maturation. A total of 75 bovine ovaries were divided into three groups. Experiment-1;  the storage duration of ovaries were 6, 9 and
