Mouse In Vitro Spermatogenesis on 3D Bioprinted Scaffolds
Methods in Molecular BiologyTestes have a complex architecture that is compartmentalized into seminiferous tubules with a diameter of approximatively 200 μm in which the germ cells differentiate, surrounded by a basement membrane and interstitium. 3D bioprinting might be used to recreate the compartmentalized testicular architecture in vitro.

Prospects for spermatogenesis in vitro
Theriogenology, 2003In recent years, extraordinary progress has been made in a broad range of reproductive technologies, including spermatogonial transplantation in the male. However, effective procedures for the complete recapitulation of spermatogenesis in vitro, including meiosis, have remained elusive.

Spermatogenesis In Vitro: Searching for In Vivo Correlates
1987The development of methodology for the study of spermatogenesis in vitro has been a major task that remained elusive (Wolff and Haffen, 1965; Steinberger, 1975). Significant advances have been reported in the culture of meiotic cells of lilaceous plants (Hotta et al., 1966), and spermatogenic cells of Xenopus (Risley, 1983) and Drosophila (Liebrich ...

SPERMATOGENESIS IN VITRO: COMPLETION OF MEIOSIS AND EARLY SPERMIOGENESIS
Endocrinology, 1983In vitro formation of haploid spermatids has not been convincingly demonstrated in mammals. To investigate this problem we selected defined segments of rat seminiferous tubules containing late pachytene and diakinetic primary spermatocytes (Stages XII and XIII of the cycle) for culture in a chemically defined medium.

In Vitro Spermatogenesis Using an Organ Culture Technique
2012Research on in vitro spermatogenesis has a long history and remained to be an unaccomplished task until very recently. In 2010, we succeeded in producing murine sperm from primitive spermatogonia using an organ culture method. The fertility of the sperm or haploid spermatids was demonstrated by microinsemination.

Stage-specific approaches promote in vitro induction for spermatogenesis
In Vitro Cellular & Developmental Biology - Animal, 2018Spermatogenesis in vitro has been demonstrated using spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs) in monolayer culture or testis tissue fragments in agarose-constructed three-dimensional (3-D) conditions. However, the low efficiency of gamete maturation and the lack of a novel induction platform have limited the progress of its use in further research and clinical
