In Vivo Models of Hypercalcemia of Malignancy
1994For about 30 years there has been interest in animal models of hypercalcemia of malignancy (HHM), which affects not only humans but also animals. Dogs for example spontaneously develop hypercalcemia with malignant diseases such as lymphosarcoma (Weiler and Melcon 1978; Heath et al. 1980) and adenocarcinoma (Patnaik et al. 1978).

In vivo cancer modeling using mouse models
Mouse models have contributed to a better understanding of cancer biology and the development of new treatments. This chapter elaborates on the various types of mouse models applied in cancer research, such as xenograft, syngeneic, and humanized models, together with the state-of-the-art techniques of genetic engineering involved in their generation ...Prafulla Chandra, Tiwari +3 more
