Recent advances in the structure, function and regulation of the volume‐regulated anion channels and their role in immunity

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend The volume‐regulated anion channel (VRAC), composed of leucine‐rich repeat‐containing 8 (LRRC8) proteins, serves both canonical and non‐canonical functions in vertebrate cells. The canonical function of this channel relates to its original description, which is homeostatic regulation of cell volume in response to hypotonic ...

Research progress of donepezil for treating mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease

open access: yesChinese Journal of Contemporary Neurology and Neurosurgery, 2017
Donepezil is the second generation of cholinesterase inhibitors (ChEIs), which has a good effect on mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease (AD). In recent years, there were a lot of studies on the mechanism of donepezil. This paper mainly introduces the

A General Strategy for C(sp3)─H Bond Etherification via Quinoline Derivative‐Mediated Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 12, Issue 22, June 12, 2025.
A quinoline‐based mediator is introduced for the electrochemical etherification of C(sp3)─H bonds, enabling the process with minimal dependence on substrate electronic properties. The reaction demonstrates compatibility with various C─H bonds, including tertiary benzylic C─H bonds and unactivated C(sp3)─H bonds.

PTC in the Polyenolate‐Mediated [10+2]‐Cycloaddition for the Synthesis of α,α‐Disubstituted Amino Acid Precursors

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 367, Issue 8, April 15, 2025.
Abstract The manuscript describes a formal [10+2] higher‐order cycloaddition between 2‐arylideneindan‐1‐ones and α‐alkylidene azlactones as higherene precursors and higherenofiles respectively. The reaction is realized under Brønsted‐base catalysis utilizing the phase transfer catalysis approach.

Examining the regulatory value of multi-route mammalian acute systemic toxicity studies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Regulatory information requirements for pesticides call for submission of acute systemic toxicity data for up to three different exposure routes (oral, dermal, inhalation) for both active ingredients and formulated products.

Panchromatic Absorption of Unsymmetrical Donor‐Acceptor Dyes Based on a Meta‐Conjugated 1,3,5‐Heteroaryltriazine Core

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 31, Issue 11, February 20, 2025.
Little explored are 1,3,5‐triazine cores that are substituted with three different heteroaromatic groups despite their distinct optical and electronic properties. 1,3,5‐Triazines substituted with strong donor and acceptor thiophenes give rise to long wavelength absorption tails due to intramolecular charge transfer absorptions of the meta‐conjugated ...

Spirocyclopropanes and Substituted Furans by Controlling Reactivity of 1,3‐Enynoates: γ‐ and δ‐Addition of Phosphines to Conjugate Acceptors

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 30, Issue 69, December 10, 2024.
In the organophosphine chemistry, the typical reaction is initiated through the β‐addition of phosphine to allenoates or alkynoates. This paper reports an unprecedented reactivity of 1,3‐enynoates and indane‐1,3‐diones in the presence of phosphines.

Tuning Valence Tautomerism in Dinuclear Cobalt Complexes by Modulating Communication in the Bridging Ligand

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Volume 27, Issue 25, September 2, 2024.
Dinuclear cobalt(III) complexes have been isolated with the bridging thean− bis(dioxolene) ligand in the cat2−‐cat2−, cat2−‐SQ⋅− and SQ⋅−‐SQ⋅− states (theaH4=2,3,6,7‐tetrahydroxy‐9,10‐dimethyl‐9,10‐dihydro‐9,10‐ethanoanthracene, cat2−=catecholate, SQ⋅−=semiquinonate).
