Single‐Cell RNA Sequencing and Spatial Multiomics Unveil Microglia–Mural Interactions Underlying Notoginsenoside R1 Against Ischemic Stroke

open access: yesiMetaMed, EarlyView.
Integrated scRNA‐seq and spatial multiomics provide single‐cell and spatial insights into the neuroprotective effects of NGR1, a clinically validated bioactive compound from Panax notoginseng. NGR1 was associated with a shift in microglial transcriptional states away from ischemia‐associated pro‐inflammatory Adam8hi microglia and toward the protective ...

Impaired coronary flow reserve in patients with poor type 2 diabetes control: Preliminary results from prospective microvascular dysfunction registry

open access: yesCardiology Journal
BACKGROUND: Type 2 diabetes (DM) is a common comorbidity associated with cardiovascular disease, especially when poor glucose control is present. Extracardiac microcirculatory complications prevalence is well documented, however coronary microcirculatory

Hemodynamic Significance of APEXCT Coronary Angiography Combined With Dynamic CT Myocardial Perfusion Imaging in Assessing Restenosis After Coronary Stenting

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study aimed to evaluate the hemodynamic significance of in‐stent restenosis (ISR) by using a combined anatomical‐functional approach with photon‐counting CT coronary angiography (APEX‐CT CTA) and dynamic CT myocardial perfusion imaging (CT‐MPI). We prospectively enrolled 239 symptomatic patients at least 9 months after PCI.

Early Circulatory and Red Blood Cell Aggregation Changes During a Short‐Term Bone‐Specific Exercise Program in Community‐Dwelling Older Women: An Exploratory Pilot Study

open access: yesMedicine Advances, EarlyView.
A 6‐week bone‐specific exercise program in community‐dwelling older women was associated with increased peripheral blood flow and improved red blood cell aggregation. In contrast, calcaneal quantitative ultrasound showed no significant change in the speed of sound.

The ATI score (age-thrombus burden-index of microcirculatory resistance) determined during primary percutaneous coronary intervention predicts final infarct size in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction: A cardiac magnetic resonance validation study

open access: yes, 2017
AIMS: The age-thrombus burden-index of microcirculatory resistance (ATI) score is a diagnostic tool able to predict suboptimal myocardial reperfusion before stenting, in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).

Diagnosis of Portal Hypertension: Advancing Towards Non‐Invasive Solutions

open access: yesPortal Hypertension &Cirrhosis, EarlyView.
This review systematically summarizes a full spectrum of non‐invasive diagnostic approaches for portal hypertension (PH), including imaging modalities, elastography, serum biomarkers, composite scoring systems and endoscopic ultrasound‐guided portal pressure gradient (EUS‐PPG), and analyzes their performance across different liver disease etiologies ...

Direct Stenting for Stable Angina Pectoris Is Associated With Reduced Periprocedural Microcirculatory Injury Compared With Stenting After Pre-Dilation

open access: yes, 2008
Objectives: We conducted a randomized study to compare the effect of direct stenting (DS) and conventional stenting (CS) on post-procedural index of microcirculatory resistance (IMR) values.
