Fast Reduction of Nitroalkenes Into Nitroalkanes Under Continuous‐Flow Chemical Conditions
Flow chemical synthesis was employed for the reduction of nitroalkenes to the corresponding nitroalkanes using sodium borohydride as the reducing agent. The reaction proceeds in only 150 s, affording products from good‐to‐excellent yields (61–96%). Herein, we describe an efficient and rapid continuous‐flow reduction of nitroalkenes to nitroalkanes. Ketogenic diet for infantile epileptic spasms
Abstract Approximately half of all cases of Infantile Epileptic Spasms Syndrome (IESS) do not respond to vigabatrin and hormonal therapies. There is no clear consensus as to the second‐line therapy for IESS. Ketogenic diet (KD) has emerged as an effective treatment for certain drug‐resistant epilepsies and in many cases of IESS.
