Asymmetric Lamellar Templating of the Perovskite/C60 Interface for Scalable Inverted Perovskite Photovoltaics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Asymmetric lamellar templating at the perovskite/C60 interface is achieved using a laterally polarized indole spacer. Surface anchoring and Ind–Ind assembly form a π‐rich lamellar interphase that supports uniform C60 contact formation, suppresses recombination, preserves electron extraction, and enables certified high‐efficiency cells and modules with ...

Nanocellulose Alleviates Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy via Gut Microbiota‐Mediated Bile Acid Homeostasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nanocellulose, derived from microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) through sulfuric acid hydrolysis or mechanical grinding to produce CNC or CNF, was tested in a rat ICP model. Particularly, CNF improved gut microbiota composition, reduced secondary bile acid metabolism, and restored bile acid homeostasis through modulation of the gut–liver axis.

Bifidobacterium Pseudolongum‐Derived Inosine Mitigates Polystyrene Nanoplastics‐Induced Hepatic Injury by Inhibiting the Polarization of M1 Macrophages

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Probiotic B.p colonization elevated gut‐derived inosine level in the liver, while elevated inosine activated A2AR and subsequently blocked NPs‐induced polarization of M1 macrophages by repressing the miR155/SOCS1/NF‐κB pathway. This reduced the release of inflammatory cytokines and thereby, mitigated NPs‐induced hepatic injury.

Total Syntheses of the Monoterpene Indole Alkaloids (±)-Alstilobanine A and E and (±)-Angustilodine [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2013
A synthetic strategy has been developed culminating in stereoselective total syntheses of the small class of unusual monoterpenoid indole alkaloids exemplified by alstilobanines A (3) and E (2) and angustilodine (1). A pivotal step includes a novel intermolecular Michael-type addition of an indole ester dianion to a piperidine-derived nitrosoalkene to ...

AI‐Designed Cyclic Peptides Enable Controllable Modulation of the CD28 Immune Checkpoint

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AI‐designed cyclic peptides enable controllable modulation of the CD28 immune checkpoint through reversible disruption of CD28‐CD80/CD86 interactions. The lead peptide, CIP‐3, suppresses T‐cell activation without intrinsic agonist activity, demonstrates dose‐dependent efficacy in a murine colitis model, and attenuates inflammatory cytokine production ...

Nano‐Backpack Engineered Probiotics with Reactive Oxygen Species–Responsive Tungsten Release for Synergistic Therapy of Inflammatory Bowel Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An integrated probiotic system is engineered to execute a programmed therapeutic cascade against inflammatory bowel disease. Upon pathological signals, the system sequentially performs ROS scavenging, tungsten release, and selective pathogen suppression, thereby breaking the oxidative stress–dysbiosis cycle to remodel gut microbiota and reinforce ...

A Wagner–Meerwein‐Like Rearrangement Generates a Vinyl Group in the Biosynthesis of the Polychlorinated Lipopeptides Fischerazoles

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The fischerazoles, unusual cyanobacterial chlorinated lipopeptides are reported. During their biosynthesis, a linear fatty acyl‐acyl carrier protein (ACP) precursor is rearranged through the action of the S‐adenosyl‐methionine (SAM)‐dependent methyltransferase FshF, to generate a pendant vinyl group.

Targeted Delivery of Indole‐3‐Pyruvic Acid Suppresses Macrophage Ferroptosis to Enhance CD8+ T Cell‐Mediated Immunotherapy Response in Bladder Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A microbiota‐derived metabolite, indole‐3‐pyruvic acid, suppresses macrophage ferroptosis through the AHR–NF‐κB–SLC7A11 axis. This preserves CD8+ T cell function in bladder cancer. Macrophage‐targeted nanoparticles enhance indole‐3‐pyruvic acid delivery and overcome resistance to PD‐1 blockade.

Palladium‐Catalyzed Annulations of an Anti‐Bredt Olefin

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We report metal‐catalyzed trappings of a [2.2.1]‐bridged bicyclic anti‐Bredt olefin (ABO). The methodology yields unusual heterocyclic products and is expected to prompt the further development of unconventional reactions, including metal‐catalyzed processes of ABOs and other strained olefins. ABSTRACT A famous class of alkene‐containing compounds that
