Au induced lateral crystallization of amorphous Ge with stress stimulation at 130 ○C

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
The effect of stress stimulation on gold (Au) induced lateral crystallization (GILC) of amorphous Ge on insulating substrates is investigated. As a result, the GILC is significantly enhanced by using compressive residual stresses of up to 200 MPa in TEOS-

Fiber‐Based Wearable Electronics as Adaptive Biointerfaces for Healthcare Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fiber‐based wearable electronics have been extensively studied as adaptive healthcare biointerfaces. In this review, we classify and introduce fiber‐based systems according to biointerface design, conductive materials, transduction mechanisms, and healthcare applications, and provide a perspective on their translation toward reliable, continuous ...

Water–Induced Spherical Crystallization of Pantoprazole Sodium

open access: yesSeparations
This study develops a spherical crystallization approach using a small amount of water, which avoids adding extra bridging agents. Notably, a new ternary solvate of pantoprazole sodium (PS–BuOH–H2O) was obtained, and its crystal structure was determined ...

Biodegradable 3D‐Printable and Coatable Antifouling Composites for Marine Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Marine biofouling damages submerged surfaces and raises greenhouse gas emissions. Biodegradable antifouling biocomposites were developed by hot‐mixing beeswax, Tween 80, and calcium stearate or stearic acid. Adjusting the component ratio enables processing via hot‐pressing, 3D‐printing, or dip‐coating.

Crystallization-Induced Asymmetric Transformation of a Tertiary Phosphine

open access: yes, 2016
An equilibrating diastereomer mixture of the tertiary phosphines 5 and 6 (2.5:1 equilibrium ratio) undergoes crystallization-induced asymmetric transformation upon slow evaporation of solvent from refluxing heptane to give a 20:1 ratio in favor of the ...

A New Strategy for Creating Quantum Light Emitters Via Post‐Growth Hydrogen‐Ion Irradiation of III‐V Nanowires

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A post‐growth method is demonstrated to realize energy‐tunable quantum emitters in GaAs/GaAsN/GaAs core–multishell nanowires on a Si substrate. By combining the N‐induced bandgap reduction with H‐ion irradiation, the GaAsN potential landscape is engineered, enabling isolated, narrow emission lines that function as single‐photon sources with g(2)(0) ∼ 0.

Halide Composition Controls Phase Morphology and Device Specific Performance in Perovskite Photovoltaics and Light Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate that halide composition determines phase morphology, governing distinct operating mechanisms in mixed halide perovskites. Phase segregating 75% Br compositions enhance solar cell performance, whereas intrinsically phase‐separated 95% Br compositions provide stable light emitting diodes.
