Infertility.

open access: yesAmerican family physician, 2007
Infertility is defined as failure to achieve pregnancy during one year of frequent, unprotected intercourse. Evaluation generally begins after 12 months, but it can be initiated earlier if infertility is suspected based on history or if the female partner is older than 35 years.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Genetic aspects of male infertility [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015

Preserving Fertility in Young Women: Triple-Step Strategy for Managing Giant Endometriomas With Minimal AMH Decline—A Case Report

open access: yesCase Reports in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Endometriomas are a frequent cause of infertility in reproductive-aged women, often requiring surgery. However, cystectomy for large endometriomas may reduce ovarian reserve, as indicated by decreased anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) levels. This case report

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Biochemistry of infertility

open access: yesClinica Chimica Acta, 2020
Infertility affects approximately 186 million people worldwide and 8-12% of couples of reproductive age. Therefore, a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation of infertility is crucial to achieving improvements in targeted prevention and treatment outcomes.

Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have
